PS not sure which bride made the comment most men are not into the getting married thing.... Mine actually is... We were living together for just over a year and he asked me to marry him..I was fine with just living together... he really felt we should get married and has done his share in the planning process.... Sometimes I laugh with the DIY projects because he is right in there sticking labels and making sure things look 100%....
I'm the same. I'm a little bit of a control freak and get super stressed about the smaller things I shouldn't be. FI has banned me from talking to our travel agent because every time I think about all the people who haven't booked yet, I start to get all twitchy and demanding of my TA.

I'm with you on the 2nd part too. My man has jumped in with both feet. Sometimes I think he's more excited than I am! He's got all sorts of ideas and wants to be involved in every little thing with this wedding. I definitely dont' have to worry about having the kind of groom that expects the woman to do it all! He wouldn't have it that way at ALL!

I think my biggest stress factor was trying to make everyone else happy instead of myself. It made planning a headache and I didn't want to do it. My best friend told me not to worry about it and to do what I want, otherwise I'm not going enjoy my day. I did and planning has been much easier now!!

The ever-growing invitation list is my current stressor. It does stop growing, right? :)

I'm only in the preliminary phase of planning, but so far it's been picking the perfect resort and actually booking it!

Yes, when it's so near your wedding that you feel it's too late to invite them At least that's what happened to me... Try to be a bit stricter than I was, and DON'T invite people spontaneously, I ended up inviting some people I really didn't want around just because at some point I felt bad there weren't invited..

I agree...you have to be firm with the guest list or else it'll never stop!! I finally had to tell my mom that she had 4 freebies and that's it, and I've stuck to it!

LOL, OMG do you want to feel better?

I invited two people, one of whom I just met a few weeks ago because we were having a blast together one night bar hopping... I wasn't even drunk, just buzzed and having a great time. What was I think?!

I haven't heard anything from them about it but I realized it the next morning and was like... uh what did I do?!

My biggest frustration is not knowing what is going on with the wedding due to poor communication with the wedding coordinator. I have heard from past brides that she is great when you get to the resort but the communication during the planning process is not good at all. I sent her an email over a month ago and haven't gotten a response. Frustrating!

I've heard from a few people that the WC's aren't really that interested in emails from brides when they're more than 3 mths away. I don't know if that makes you feel better but I'm hoping its true since I haven't heard from mine after my email to her and we're at 4.5-ish months away!

Haha, that's hilarious! And it DID make me feel better. I haven't done that yet, though my FI has. He went to a party and called me after a couple of hours saying "hey, we were supposed to invite xx and xx for the wedding right?" When I said that no, they're not on the list and we don't really know them he got really quiet and then it came "uhm, sweetie, uhm, I kind of just invited them. We were having beers and talking and it just came natural". Haha!
