WHAT??!!  They can change the date??!!  I know their flight schedules are subject to change, but I figure by a few hours here and there, but not by an entire day!  So does that mean your return flight was delayed a day too? But good for you for getting that awesome deal!

Yes they can change the date!!  We were originally booked to fly on a Sunday and we were just told a couple of weeks ago that our flight had been changed to the Saturday!  I wasn't very happy about it but that was Air Transits fault not our TA.  Yes both flights were changed.

Thanks that is great, I really didn't want to have the tacky plastic bracelet on for my wedding and I would have cut it off anyway :)   So its good to know they will give us new ones!!

I'm getting married on March 17th 2014!

I have many questions!!!!!!!  I've been going over the stuff the planner has given me.  Just wondering if anyone has heard what the food at the Grill or Dolce Vita is like, Im a little dissapointed that there aren't too many choices.  Is anyone opting for the package that includes live music?  Does anyone know what kind of music they play?  What have soon to be brides out there been planning to do following the reception?

I appreciate any input :)

I think you scored an amazing price!  Im with Transat too, booked for March and our price is $1880 taxes included.  We dont have very nice flight times either, and I looked at our return flight departure and arrival times and I have a feeling it isnt direct because the flight to Jamiaca is waaaay shorter.

Hi,

I just returned from this hotel 2 weeks ago.  It is absolutely stunning.  Good luck on your wedding and have a blast like I did.  I loved it so much that I booked my wedding there for next June 2014.  Keep me posted on how things go and pics of course are always a must.

What did you think of the food at the Grill and Dolce Vita?  Would you recommend one or the other for a reception dinner?

Hi there!

I am also looking into booking a wedding there next year for May!  When in May are you going to be there?  I am working on the first week of May.   I'll be flying out of Vancouver BC and was originally quoted $1750 incl tax.  But after some price checks, just got back a fresh quote of $1550 incl tax. Much better!!!!

Have you contacted the WC over there yet? Have you had any troubles getting the Wedding date and time that you wanted?  I'm just wondering how soon I should contact the WC over there... as I've read on here that they are in less of a hurry getting back to you when your wedding is almost a year away still.

Thanks!

Hey eveyone... Quick question.. Do u have any idea what the chairs from the resort looks like? I read on this forum that it is the ugly banquet chairs... But I saw on different picture that they seems to have golden nice chairs?
The chairs are brassy coloured framed with blue patterned material cushions (not very pretty) but the hotel supplies what chair covers & you can either take your own chair sashes or buy them at the resort for $1.50 per sash.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
