I am also going to be putting Candle Lanterns on my tables and was planning on ordering off Ebay....but the site you just posted as so many more options that I love...including the ones I had been eyeing.  And great prices, too!  I am so excited, thank you!!

Hi Everyone, I need some help. I want to have a fake flower with some jewels on it in my hair for the wedding, or some type of jeweled comb. I have looked at a ton on ebay and etsy but  for something like this I want to see it in person before buying it. I've been into a few bridal salons here in Calgary but they are all over priced. Has anyone found any good accessory stores here that would have what I'm looking for?

nice photos, Boo...her tables did look lovely.  i am using lanterns in lieu of flowers actually, it will sit on a palm leaf and will have fuschia and orange votive holders scattered around it and maybe some pink and orange rose petals.  no clue about the dancing, sorry.

amanda - i got my hair flower from another BDW bride, so sorry, i can't help you there!

Boo, I love those lanterns!  You manage to find the cutest things :)

I'm so happy, we finally got confirmation of our wedding date!  We're getting married at Dreams Tulum in Feb 2011 yay!

Now the invitations fun begins haha.  I'm attempting to do them myself, because we really like the passport invites but can't bring ourselves to pay $6 per invitation.  Anyone recommend a good affordable print shop in Calgary?

Hi All,

The last Thursday of the month is coming up soon - August 26! I see there are a few new brides, so I am hoping we can have a good showing this time. Just to re-cap, for those of you that don't know we meet the last Thursday of every month at 6PM at Melrose on 17th AVE. Please try to make it out girls, it is a lot of fun and Sandy and I have been brining items to show each other and to compare notes. Also, I was thinking, some of us may have bought things in a rush and have no decided we don't want them anymore...I suggest we bring these items as well in case one of the other Calgary brides might want to buy them or borrow etc.  I will be brining a pair of wedding shoes I bought that I decided are not right for me anymore, so hopefully one of you girls love them. Please let me know if you are definitely attending, as I base my numbers on that, and last minute cancellations are sad for me :( lol

I also made my invites and saved a lot of $$$.  I got dark purple and cream paper from Scrapbookers Paradise.  I also bought a glue gun and bouble sided tape.  I borrowed my frineds paper cutter that you use for Scrapbooking.  I printed them off at work hehehe and bought a bag a sea shells from Michaels and glued them onto the invite.  Very different, a little time consuming but totally worth it!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
