      lmarie,

I only met with her briefly. She took care of making sure that the guys were ready on the beach and that all the guest got seated and organized. My husband said that she was really nice! I'm sure that she will be just as amazing as Beverly considering that she worked directly with her.

      acw,

Your wedding will be amazing either way!! :D

I honestly dont know if its worth the money to rent out the gazebo if theres only 10-12 people in your group. You're dinner will go until 8:30ish and then you could head up to the lobby bar and then go to the disco....My group spent most of our nights hanging out at the outside lobby bar. Its such a nice atmosphere....As for the price my group paid $1455 and I have many people complain to me, but 2 days into the trip I had those same people coming up and thanking me!! Trust me, once they get there they totally forget how much they paid! Its worth it!!

      Good luck ladies!!

You can rent the gazebo without the d.j. and bring your own music.  You can buy the bottles and mixers there.  To rent the gazebo is $250.00 so you save $250.00.

StephAli, you mentioned the lobby bar, what is this like? Is it a common area, or is a closed area, and people underage are not allowed in?

              Hey lmarie,

The lobby bar is completely open and everyone is allowed there. I have attached two pictures of the outside lobby bar. There is one bar outside and tons of table/chairs all along the balcony. There is another bar inside, directly behind the balcony / in the white doors that you can see in pic #2. You can also see part of the bar to the left in that picture. Pic #1 gives you an idea of how much space there is. The main lobby is also right inside the doorway thats to the left in this pix.

PS. the stairs that you can see are really annoying and I would suggest telling everyone to be super careful on them and maybe try to avoid them when drinking!! They are an awkward size ...it feels weird to take normal steps on them, but there not actually big enough for two steps!

StephAli, thank so much for all of the detailed answers to my questions, for the additional info and for the pics!! You have been a great help!

I think the lobby bar is a great place for my guests to go the night of my wedding, after the dinner and before the disco later that night. Thanks:) Its so nice to see pictures of everything, and you explained it all so well.

And I will also remember the tip about the stairs and pass that along.

hey that's cool! that's where we're planning to have our hors d'oeuvres I think. do they call that the lobby terrace? it looks great!  it doesn't solve my problem of "first dance" though if we don't get the gazebo. it's not like they'll clear the dance floor in the disco.

hey lmarie - send an email to Tai Flora who are the florists for GBPJ. I've received 2 "catalogues" from them - the bouquet options (all of them) and everything else. bridal party bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres, petals, the whole works. I was told if you don't want what is in the packages, you get a credit towards whatever else you want. I don't have all the price quotes yet because obviously dresses aren't final yet but from what I'm hearing the prices are way better than what you would pay for flowers up here!!  the lady is Jennivie and she's great!! I've talked to her on the phone too and she was so helpful. her email is ochorios@taiflora.com  we're doing the sand ceremony too and they'll do that plus the mixed sand container can be closed up to transport back home.

now we just need a good price to travel........ then we can start getting people booked!!

I said "yes" again to the love of my life at Grand Coral Beach Club, Playa del Carmen, Mexico on our 4th anniversary - October 20, 2015

Tyanks acw! I think I have finally decided on what color flowers that I want, So I will email them soon. Everything is starting to come together. I know a destination wedding has much less decisions involved than doing it the traditional way, I'm so glad I chose a destination wedding, I coudnt handle all the decisions of a large formal wedding!!

You are in Toronto? I had an all inclusive price of around $1400 including the taxes and everything for my guests leaving from Toronto. That was my quote that I got back in October, for travel in August for my wedding.
