St.Lucia Honeymoon-Recommendations

Hi,

We are looking into going to St.Lucia for our honeymoon. I have looked at the Sandals resorts and know a little about Windjammer Landing there. We are looking for an all-inclusive resort that is also romantic. From the looks of it...Sandals should fit the bill. Has anyone been to any of the Sandals in St.Lucia? If so...which one? What about Windjammer Landing. Any other recommendations? Thanks.

There are a bunch of places on St. Lucia that work very well for a honeymoon. Rendezvous is an adult only AI. Then there's Ti Kaye, Ladera, The Landings, and for those with a big budget, Jade Mountain. Be sure to get out and see the island while you're there, don't just stay at your resort. It's such a great place, you're going to love it!

Thanks Maureen...I have been in contact with Jennifer about the Sandals resorts in St.Lucia...I was wondering if anyone has a preference as to which resort in St.Lucia or has stayed at any in St. Lucia and what their impression was of the resort.

Thank you Kristyl...this is just what I was looking for.

Hi,

I looked into Jade Mountain after reading about it here...the cost is CRAZY!!! However...it does look FAB!! At least the FI has great taste :) You may want to take a look at Tip Advisor...very good reviews on all of these properties. I personally have heard only great things about Windjammer Landing.....however kids are allowed. Good luck and if you find out anything good...let us know.

I booked mine for Sandals Regency. I thought the prices were great with plenty of different levels of rooms to choose from. I heard that the beach is beautiful but on windy days they dont let you down there- you'd have to stay by the pool instead which isnt an issue with us. However, you can go to any of the 3 sandals on the island to hang out or eat. I think that makes it a really good option. I chose the Regency because it was a good price and the size we were looking for. Im sure we will explore all 3 though.

When are you going?

We are going to Jade Mountain for 5 nights for our Honeymoon. I opted for the AI option as well. FI will be surprised for sure.

He wanted to go somewhere different, but not tell him... but eventually he knew it's in St Lucia, and knows the name of the resort now (since others asked him where we were going), but has even looked at pics of it, so it will be a surprise somewhat.

He did ask how much I paid for it, and nearly $hit brick, but I told him this would probably be the only chance we'd get to experience a place like it. They take half the payment upfront as a deposit, then the final payment 30 days before you arrive... so my final payment comes off my credit card next week. It's going to be quite the experience there!!!

I didn't realize that you could use the other Sandals resorts too...that is a fantastic perk!! When you say that you can't use the beach if it is windy, does that apply to all of St. Lucia Sandals resorts or just the Regency?

We are looking to go after our wedding July 10th.

Glad to see that you are still exploring St. Lucia! It's an amazing island!

As we discussed all 3 Sandals properties are definately different in terms of atmosphere and beach, when we spoke I let you know that the Grande fit what you wanted in terms of rooms, atmosphere and beach/pool. The Sandals Grande St. Lucian has a definately more romantic but active vibe.

When we explored the option of the Regency the rooms along the beachside were not what you wanted ( just too noisy- definate high action, party area) and going up the hill to the bluff the rooms were either not unobstructed ocean view and/or rennovated and the Butler level on the bluff was more than you needed/wanted. I am sorry that you missed the stay at one Sandals, Play at all three -we had discussed that in length- including the shuttle schedule. There was a lot of information to take in with one phone conversation and we talked for over an hr !!

Have fun on your search and I hope you find a St. Lucia property that makes you happy!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
