Hi there, my name is Julie and I am newly engaged. My fiance Tim and I were hoping for a destination wedding on April 1, 2010. We have looked into so many resorts I have lost count...having no luck yet on picking a place. we are expecting between 40-50 guests and are trying to keep the cost down so people can afford to come. Our first choice was Jamaica but it is much too pricey so we have instead chosen Punta Cana. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions on places we can go I would welcome any help. We are getting very discouraged and the few places we have decided on have e-mailed back saying they are booked or there aren't enough seats on the plane...sad.gif

I had the same problem with finding a date in April, especially around the spring/easter break time. I ended up moving to May myself, but that was because I was dead set on a certain resort, as well as a legal ceremony (so it had to be a Thur. or Fri in Mexico for our flights and such). Are you working with a Travel Agent? I found this to be really helpful as she sent out a bunch of requests not only for pricing, but for wedding dates as well from various resorts.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
