But Thursday is weigh in and I am trying SO SO SO hard to do good between now and then. I would be very happy to lose but I have to accept that I may not after the terrible (i.e. "food terrible" but actually a very nice) weekend I had.

OK, so even worse is that these days I just cannot motivate to exercise AT ALL!!!! I don't know what's wrong with me - I use to to exercise and nowadays I just can't make myself do it...

Anybody have ideas on how to motivate?

Tammy don't feel bad - you look terrific anyway!

Also no one is worse than me. I OWN a stationary bike and free weights. I technically have TWO gym memberships (one to Gold's and another to a Rock Climbing Gym) AND I pay an extra $15 a month so I can bring a friend with me to Gold's and also so I can use any of their LA gyms...

And I use none of it. Yup. It can't be worse than that! Pathetic I tell you!

It seriously is soooo hard to motivate to exercise! I know what you girls mean. I know I would see results so much faster if I'd get off my butt!

Kash- you will never guess how many points I consumed on Friday- 65!! Is that not the worse thing you have ever heard? I used all my flex points, all my points for that day, plus extra on about 6 hours of eating. lol- I'm so embarrassed!

Hang in there- you can do it!

Hey Ladies!!! Do not fret. So you had a bad week. Remember, you are still eating better that you would if you weren't paying attention. Do not let it discourage you. You can do this!

I definitely had weeks like that. I had two weeks in a row with a gain. Not recommended, but my point is that we are all human. What really got me over the hump was to avoid social things (parties, going out drinking, etc). And if you have a party you have to go to, plan your day accordingly. Eat low low points all day and save at least 10 points for dinner. So that way if you use 20 at your party, you will have only used 10 flex points. It all about planning.

Regarding exercise, it is tough to motivate, I agree. I am always so tired and if it wasn't for my standing appointment with my trainer, it would be a lot worse. Getting a workout buddy helps. Do you know anyone that you can work out with? That way you don't let each other down and it is more fun!

You can do it. It's a new week!!!

Hee hee hee... the only reason I'm laughibng is because I know EXACTLY hoqw you feel! OK, well we're in this together and Rebecca is right we are still eating better than if we weren't doing anything at all!

We have no food in the house and my FI is so cute because I told him last week that if we eat out we need to do sushi because it's basically the only thing that's not super high points! So he called and was like Dave is coming over to watch the game (I'm a big NE Patriots fan and they're playing right now in Monday Night Football) and they're going to pick up sushi. So we got some I pulled all the counts off tyhe website and manager to eat not one point over...

Rebecca, thanks for the encouragement! How often do you meet with your trainer?

Hey! I'm watching that game right now too. I'm in a fantasy football league and Brady is my QB! it;s really fun!

I see my trainer twice a week. He is awesome! He lets my friend and I share visits (so we split the cost). it has really worked out well for me. I hope I can continue to see him. I'm learning so much!

I love Brady... he's #1 on "my list" hee hee hee...

It must be nice to have a trainer - when I had to go to physical therapy I always went no matter what (except when I was sick of course) and it's interesting how when you have that kind of appointment you take the "choice" out of it and you just do it. I need to find a way to do that ion my real life. Before I injured my knee (May... actually the day we got engaged) I was going to the gym everyday and walking (varying the incline so it was like hiking) on the treadmill everyday - but these days I just haven't been able to motivate myself! Well one step at a time, right? I need to get this diet thing down - I haven't had one weekend where I haven't used all my flex points yet... (or in 2 out of 3 cases actually gone over them...)

OK, so I've been doing WW for about 3 weeks and I've lost 1 inch around my waist and hips (yii-peee!) and about 5 pounds (I lost 1 lb. but then managed tyo gain it back in one day when my friend was visiting and we went out for Mexican food and I ate chips and salsa and drank 1/2 a margarita... But I think I'm back down now. So anyway I thought I'd pass along some of the stuff that's been working for me:

1) Water. This stuff is like a miracle weight loss elixir! I should bottle it and sell it as an "amazing weight loss tool - just drink 2 quarts a day and you are sure to lose weight - gaurenteed!" Seriously - this stuff is no joke.

2) Tomatoes - I love them. 1 cup has 0 points! I like to eat a handful of cherry tomatoes with my lunch.

3) Progresso Garden Vegetable soup (low-sodium sometimes) - 3 points and delicious and filling. Today I added one serving of Trader Joe's tortilla chips and had a tasty lunch for like 6 points...

4) Low fat cream cheese or goat cheese - add one Tbsp. to any bland pasta sauce and for 1 point you now have a delicious "rich" (but not fattening) cream sauce.

5) Dreamfields pasta. It's half "whole wheat" and half regular semolina. And comes out to half the points of regular pasta (which means you can eat either more of it or opt for something extra).

6) Trader Joe's Pomodoro Sauce - 1/2 cup = 1 point. I have other jars of stuff in my fridge that are like 2 or 3 points oer 1/2 cup. Plus it's delicious.

7) Western "Alternative" Bagel (1 pt.) with 1 tbsp. low fat cream cheese (1 pt. is one hell of a delicious snack!

cool.gif Pria 110 calorie bars - 2 points and great in the afternoon at work for a 3pm snack.

9) Shopping. There's nothing more motivazting than going shopping and having clothes start to look good again :) yay!

10) Pickles. Ok, so I guess I should eat too many of these guys 'cuase they're loaded with salt - BUT they are great if you're craving something salty/crispy and basically 0 points.

11) Dannon light n fit fat free yogurt - no sugar added. Find the one thaty's 60 calories and it only has 1 point (versus the 2 the rest of them have)

12. Low fat granola - 1/3 cup is more than enough and plop it in your yogurt for a 3 point breakfast.

13. lean Cuisines - I love the Santa Fe Rice & Beans. It's creamy and delicious and has 6 points (even though the box says it has 5 - I plugged the info into the website and it comes up as 6)

14. Polenta - pre-cooked (slice into rounds and "fry" in cooking spray). Filling and delicious w/ pasta sauce.

15. Quorn Naked huh.gif (fake chicken in the frozen section) - 1 peice - 1 pt.

So I haven't quite incorporated to exerrcise part but i figure one step at a time or I'll get overwhelmed... Anyway I hope my list can help something else. the biggest thing is the water - man that stuff really works!

Awesome suggestions Kash! I have found some of the same things you have. My current favorite is Orville Redenbacher Smart Pop mini bags. A whole bag of popcorn for 2 points! It keeps my snackiness happy. I also survive on sugar free jello for 0 points and sugar free jello pudding for 1 point.
I also love lean cuisines. They have pizza for 8 points!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
