1) Lose, lose, lose!
2) Whatever it takes to do #1, I'll post after I sign up...
3) 25 lbs would be ideal, 15-20 is more realistic!
4) Definitely by my wedding 5-7-07, 7 months away. Sooo, I figure if I lose 3 lbs per month, I can do it!
I get 20 points per day...

OK girls, I signed up yesterday and have just finished my 1st 24 hours on WW. I finished my 24 hr period with 19 points (1 to spare!) even after starting my day yesterday with naughty pretzels and cookies before I signed up.
I think I will really like this, because I can eat good and still have lots of food available to eat, or I can be naughty every once in a while and either use my flex points, or just kinda have to skimp a little the rest of the day.
I only did Tae Bo Boot Camp for 20 minutes today and that earned me an extra 2 points, but I don't plan to use my exercise points for a few weeks (I think I read that in someone's post- Kash or Rebecca maybe?).

Thanks for the encouragement girls!

Hey Sarah,

Congrats!! That is what makes WW so successful, that you don't deprive yourself. Use your flex points, that will keep you on track. They will tell you when and how to use your excercise points when it's time. Make sure to weight in every week and don't weight in on your own in between. As hard as it is, just one time a week at the WW office.

DESSERT TIP:

Buy the Sugar Free chocolate pudding cups =1 point (Sugarfree, NOT fat free). Then buy Fat free cool whip (0 points). Scoop a tablespoon of cool whip on your pudding cup for a one point YUMMY dessert. I like the double choclate flavor and the vanilla/choclate swirl!!msnwink.gif

So far so good- day two = 19.5 points + 20 min workout.
I didn't start excercising until later. Since you are excercising in the biginning, I'm sure you'll see results even faster!

Another addicting dessert. Weight Watcher's (Brand) Giant Fudge Cones. 2 points each and SOO worth it. The chocolate ones are the best!

Sure. But if you only want to lose 5 pounds, you can do the program that my trainer put me on. Write down EVERYTHING you eat and only eat 1200 calories a day.

For toning, he told me to do no more than 15 minutes of cardio, then heavy weights. Push ups and squats everyday (ouch!), but it will work!

So I went to get wqeighwed after joining last friday and even with eating off plan on Saturday i still lost 3 pounds! Yay!

Tammy, I'm not sure why only 15 minutes of cardio - maybe so you don't start burning muscle mass away? I do know that in the past when I worked with a trainer they really emphasized using weights that are heavy enough. A lot of girls think they'll bulk up but it's reall ynot true. But what is true is that you tone a lot faster if you use weights heavy enough to burtn out your muscles each time. I've always been told to alternate muscvle groups each day - i.e. upper body one day and lower body the next. But for your lower body it sounds like if you're doing squats and lunges then you could do them every day.

Rebecca, Great advice!

So I'm taking tomorrow off of work so the weekend is coming soon! I'm excitred to NOT work but not excited to resist all the delicious foods and drinks that seem to be present over the weekends!

Yeah I heard that too Kashmira, I thought about doing cardo at least three days a week for 30 minutes. Then doing weights as well, I really need to stop farting around and get on the band wagon... I do good for a few days then get off track. UGH life was easier when I didn't have so much going on..

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
