Kash - that's great, good work! If your goal is 15, and you've already lost 7 - that's almost half way. I admire your hard work, seriously! And you've got so much time to go - what a great feeling! You're motivating me to do something to reach my goal ... !

Thanks for the congrats!

Yay! More WW gals! This thread isn't limited to JUST WW people - everyone who wants to watch their weight (or try to lose or maintain) is invited!

I have to be super good today because if I can weigh 1 pound less tomorrow than I can collect everyone's money here at work! hee hee hee...

On that note, I'm going to go get some water!

I think that's great! I did the exact same thing when I first got my calculator. That way I knew excatly how much to have to make sure my points added up to the right amount of the end. Plus I could steer clear of those higgh point items that don't seem work it.

I think the best thing you can do at first is get use to drinking tons of water. At first it was an effort but now I can easily drink like a 1/2 gallon of water a day! Also when I get hungry and I'm out of points I like to make the following "salad" for 0.5 points:

1 can drained and chopped hearts of palms

1 chopped tomato (0.5 pts.)

drizzled with vinegar

It's actually quite delicious and satisfying (if you like these things).

if you do it without the tomato then it's 0 points!

OK girls- this was the last bad day to round out my bad week. I'm such an emotional eater! I did pretty good over the weekend, but then went to the funeral today and came home and ate Arby's and then White Castle- arrrghh! Anyway- back to being good tomorrow, I promise. Things will be better now...

Hey Nicole- it's awesome to have you join us- can't wait to hear how it goes for you, when I stick with it, I do great- look at Kash!

Kash- you are so going to win that jackpot- woohoo $500! Can't wait to hear about the victory :)

Hello Ladies! I so need to join this group! I've done weight watchers before and it really does work, you just have to stick with it and once you get to where you want to be the key is learning to maintain. Obviously I'm here because I didn't learn that, hahaha! I have the ww book and I know how to do the plan, so I'm hoping that having all of you here to help me along I'll be able to do this without doing the meetings, because that's just one more thing to add to my crazy schedule. However, I'm waiting until after thanksgiving because we are going to be out of town, leaving tomorrow and not back until Sunday, and I know there will be a lot of drinking and some eating, so I want to start fresh monday with NO guilt. I'm making myself go back to the gym too, I felt so much better when I did, and didn't really even want to eat that much. I'll check in on Monday and let you know how day 1 goes!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
