I'll be mailing them out within the week. It was important to me to get all the information to my guests before they booked, I just felt that was fair. Most people mail theirs out 2-3 months beforehand though, so don't feel the pressure! lol.

The paper that the trifold is made out of is handmade mulberry paper called Blue Iris. I got it at a local art store, but there are lots of places online that sell mulberry paper. The only thing I'd watch for is that some places had mulberry paper that was coloured only on one side, and the other was white, so if you were to do this and get coloured mulberry paper, just make sure its coloured on both sides.

The blue paper I bought at a scrapbooking store. It's got a bit of a gleam to it. The store called it "Bling", which is apparently a standard kind of paper they carry... the colour name is Prince Charming.

Behind the invitations is burlap, which I got at a fabric store.

Love the invites courtney....it's good to know you are sending them early...I was kinda thinking of doing this...I have the weding website...but I think that I should send invites early too because most people are going to know this early I would think if they can go or not...I mean they have to plan and save for their trip and start booking. So why wait... good idea! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
