Hair Issues!!

Recommended Posts

Okay, so in addition to all the stresses of planning my wedding I have been wracking my brain for weeks now about my hair! I haven't had it done (colored OR cut) since the beginning of May, so I am well over due & have been thinking about what I would like done. Funny thing is, I *always* go through this process & desire some sort of change/improvement but in the end I *always* chicken out & just go get my "usual". The people around me aren't much help...always saying I look fine the way my hair is now. So, I guess what I'm looking for are additional (unbiased) opinions. When you see someone look the same way for years & years I understand it can be hard to see them looking any differently...so maybe you ladies can help?! :)

Here is what I look like currently (this pic was taken 3 weeks ago). I'll likely have a little deeper of a tan for my big day since in this pic I don't have one (despite the fact that it's summer)...and, yes, my eyes are actually blue...I don't know why the photographer "enhanced" them, I think they look really fake in the pics & I actually pretty cool blue eyes...but whatev, I guess![/color[/font]

Lately, I've been letting him keep more of my natural color show through (the strawberry blondish...darker stuff) but I used to ask for more platinum blond & it looked more along these lines...

I've always imagined what I may look like w/ a darker, deeper color...some girls really look good making the change but I'm apprehensive, so this could be a possibility--for a more gradual change...

Or, even a bit more brownish, like this...

I am fans of both these ladies but I especially like Rachel McAdams because (i love her movies) & she is so beautiful AND since we share the same coloring, I always take a look at her pics...she is always changing her color & seems to look amazing no matter what her hair color is!

I think that as long as you have a few different shades in your hair it will emphasize any hairstyle you have. Also remember the sun will change the color slightly when you are in Negril. If you go too light it will lighten even more or go slightly brassy due to sun. At least that's what my hairdresser tells me! Thankfully mine is going to my wedding to save me from bad hair! Do you know what you want for the big day? Is it going to be up or down or a bit of both?

I really like your current hair color (although all of the ones you posted would look good on you) .. Your wedding is in a warm tropical location so I think lighter is better.. plus it will really make your tan "pop" so to speak!

I think maybe try a bit of low lights in your current hair and that might give you more depth while still keeping that gorgeous blond color you have...

I think your hair looks beautiful as is and honestly I wouldn't make a huge change to your hair before your wedding, just incase you dislike it. You are going to look beautiful on your wedding day regardless of what you do with your hair. If you want to make the change I would do it after the wedding so you can still have your fun with changing colors and not worry if you don't like the way it turns out that you have time to fix it and not stress. Hope this helps!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
