Yeah, that is what we are going to do. Some photographers I got quotes from though said that MP doesn't allow outside vendors. I explained what the terms were but they still won't believe that it's ok as long as they stay a night.

Seems like there is a lot of conflicting information going on sad.gif

hey guys i just joined the forum and have a few quick questions...

1) has anyone ever seen what the set up for the ceremony on the beach would look like? and how private would it be? i was on vaca a couple years ago and witnessed a wedding on the beach and the hotel didn't block off the area so people were kinda just walking by and making lots of noise...i just hope thats not the case at MP.

2) how far is the hotel from downtown Cancun? and is there a bus that travels there in case our guests want to explore or go out to clubs?

thanks!

Hi evaleen-
Go to the reviews and find CutieRosie's review she has photos and a FULL and in depth review of her Beach Wedding at moon palace it was the most helpful one that I have found!

I am not sure about the distance to the downtown Cancun, but there are free shuttles that can take you to Cancun palace for the afternoon which is in the hotel zone!

Ive been to weddings before where they havent paid for exclusive use of a bar and you get everyone wanderig in (i'm worried that we will all be in full attire and Ill be standing next to a beer bellied man in his speedos!) Do you think this will happen as you've been before? Can you order a few places of chips/nachos etc? or would this be cheating?!

thanks
My best advice is to look around the resort the day before the wedding at around the time of day you are doing it and see where is empty, my friend choose the lobby bar because it was quiet and there aren't a lot of people there, but they later joined us near the pool bar where we were snacking on shish kaboobs (which were wonderful) and nachos, salsa and cheese! We just claimed like 4 tables and took it over. The bar was right next to us and we had a great time, there was the occasional person in a suit but for the most part people are respectful and don't want to get into your pics and will just say congrats and mind their own business.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
