Xmas shopping, I have started and I am not too motivated... Too many wedding thoughts to really focus on pretending to be the fat man in red. Our kids are older 15 and 20 and they have been told this is a lean xmas because when have purchased them a vacation. They are really kool about it. FI and I have done a $100 limit for each other.
How are you other ladies doing huh.gif?
As far as Christmas goes, we are keeping it low key. My FI's side of the family we draw names so I have one person to buy for - his mother. I already told my side of the family that Christmas will be small since we have a wedding to pay for. My FI and I decided on possibly buying a video camera or nice camera for ourselves for Christmas. Other than that, not much shopping for me. We fly back home Dec. 17th and if I need to pick up anything I will do that when we get back to Michigan. My bach. party is Dec. 19th, two days after we get back to MI. I just hope I can pull myself out of the Jet Lag!!!! With it being 13 hours time difference it takes 4-5 days to get back on schedule huh.gif

Yikes!

Thanks SusieQ... I will try to keep sane while home. The other stressful part is when we are home everyone wants time with us so I literally make up an Excel spreadsheet and block out time. Doctor appts, lunches, family visits, etc. It's nice to see everyone but a little on the crazy side!

Plus, I'm helping throw a baby shower for a family member, having a bach. party thrown by my MOH (21 year old sister) (<-- Scared about this one since she is so young and loves to party!), having my last and FINAL bridal shower. When all is said and done I will have completed 4 bridal showers. OMG!!! Our guest bedroom is FULL of gifts and we haven't even had our wedding yet! This is so new to me and I barely had much on my registeries and they are pretty much empty. My family keeps bugging me to go back online and register for more but I really don't want to, is that bad? For our AHR, we're not putting where we are registered on the invitations because we really don't want anymore gifts and if anyone INSISTS on getting us something I'm sure it will be money and we can use it for our honeymoon! :)

Ahhhhhhh... how will I ever get my last minute wedding stuff done before I head back to CHINA!!! Okay, maybe I will be the first bride to break!!! (sniff-sniff)

Sorry for the long book ONCE again!

Oh Meyer2010 - you won't break! You will be super busy though....just take that excel sheet of yours and book in some time slots for you and your honey...or a trip for just you to the spa for a pedi or massage...that way you have to go and it will be "you time". That will help keep it all on an even keel.

Shellk....we talk to so many people here at work and some of them are weirdos....I can't tell them that you guys are weirdos...kooks maybe, but not weirdoswink.gif You guys will just notice I post at odd times because I am here all night again!

SusieQ...is there any particular store on ebay you like? I tried looking on ebay and just entered a search for summer dresses - which gave me a return of about 700+ huh.gif I narrowed that down and still ended up with around 400...sheesh. I like to shop, but that is a lot of scrolling! So I switched to Victoria's Secret on line catalogue...no sales, but pretty dresses and stuff! So if you could point me in the right direction I would love the help!

VdayBride...your dress is amazing! I love how the lace is see through on the train. You look stunning in it.

As for the Christmas shopping this year. I have some stuff already because I shop all year. Usually about now I am wrapping it all up....this year I am supposed to fit shopping time and money in howhuh.gif

Ladies here is the double whammy....Christmas day is my FI's birthday.....December 28th is our anniversary of our first meeting/date (which he actually points out to me - cool he remembers!).....and this year I work dayshift for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

I am not all bah-humbug, but I have no clue how this is all going to fit in this year! I am trying to buy some stuff on line to cut down on the running around, but still...have to spend time shopping this way. I am starting to think everyone is just going to get gift certificates for all their favorite stores! Kinda lame, but I just don't know how else to fit it all in.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
