Yea i thought it was a little weird too i tried and tried to change this but there not letting me someone else may have a wedding scheduled a lil later that they just arent telling me about but i really don't know.   We get married May 29th so we are very close to our date.  The resort really did not have great contact with us until about a week ago and we've been emailing back and forth a lil bit.  this was stressful in the beg but knowing it was going to be like this i got a lot of planning done on my own, so i know what i want now i just need to make sure they put it together right :-)  At the moment we have 40 people booked, with a few others still making arrangements.  When is your wedding?

Well I heard from Edgar, and he said I could use DJ Julian (just like you said) and that my date is available BUT... I'd have to set it up with Ana sooo.... you know how that goes, lol. Waiting for her to respond. Hopefully she gets back to me soon- I'm trying to check DJ and photography off my "list" asap so I don't have to worry about them.

Were you able to book DJ Julian or did you decide on someone else? Who are you using for photography? I might use Adventure Photos but I emailed a bunch of people to get prices (Ivan Luckie, Del Sol, La Luna, Elizabeth Medina). All wonderful photographers, but 3 to 4X more $$ than Adventure, so we'll see... pictures are so important tho

TigerLily,

Anel from Adventure Photos is very good, that's who I'm using. Otherwise Juan Navarro is also excellent and his prices, although more expensive then Adventure Photo, are more competitive then some of the other high end photographers.  If I had a larger budget for photos, I'd be using Del Sol hands down...they are amazing!

As for booking your DJ, just ask Ana to book in AVI for you and the tell Juan Molina and he will set the date aside for you.  I had no problems getting this booked, so I imagine it should be easy for you to do...

Good Luck!

The photographer payed attention to the time so we missed a few minutes at the beginning, said hello to everyone, had a few bites then went to our room to freshen up.  I wanted to be there for half of it and that's what happened....

Thank you for the wonderful review.  I was wondering if you were able to enjoy your cocktail hour with the guests or did you feel rushed?  Thank you and I can't wait to see your pictures.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
