    Ashley -

Congratulations! Your photos are beautiful and you looked gorgeous! Thank you so much for sharing! Also, thank you for letting us know that you did not use any outside venders. I can't tell you how excited I am about those lanterns :-)!!!!

TigerLily- I am def walking barefooted for the ceremony. I purchased flip flops bc I knew I wanted a laid back wedding & thought I'd just wear those for the reception. But then I decided I wanted heels....so I'll prob just keep the flip flops for something else...or backup if i fall on a wooden plank! haha! My name is Winter... so you dont have to refer to me ask west bacani! lol

I had no idea the resort supplied lanterns! I was considering going wit DecoCancun or EW to get these!
Does anyone know why they aren't on the brochure pricelist? Or is there a pricelist I haven't heard about?

          I agree! Sooo beautiful!
Speaking of outside vendors- whats the lastest? I've popped in and out of this thread as Dreams is a high possibility for my 2012 wedding but am really wanting my own photographer as well as hair/makeup - I got a high recommendation for those!
I've heard theres a vendor fee- but is that just for photography? or for each vendor?

Not sure about hair/makeup ... I'm using the resort for that. But we are flying in our Photographer. She's staying at the resort so they aren't making us pay for daypass.

Ashley, Your pics are amazing!  I already booked Anel for our wedding June 18th and can not wait to work with her!  I especially love your Steelers garter and terrible towels!!  Go Steelers!!

              Hi All!

I got married March 7th! The resort is beautiful. All I can say is trust them they know what they are doing. I will write a full review later this week but, I just wanted to send over my slideshow so you can see my pictures. My wedding coordinator was Veronica. She was amazing to work with and easy going. I got to work with Anel at Adventure Photos who works at the resort. LOVE LOVE LOVE her. If you are getting married at Dreams I highly suggest to work with Anel!! Not only are her pictures good she is amazing to work with. She has so much energy and really made our day fun.

I was married at DRC in October. Most of the ceremonies were in the late afternoon and the sand was not hot. I was barefoot for the ceremony ( do not get a pedicure in spa...it is not like the states pedicures..great manicure) I had beautiful italian shoes...yep didn't wear them for more than 5 minutes..almost broke a ankle in the slats of the deck.

I made barefoot sandals for me and my maids (these are mine, theirs have yellow crystals instead of pearl to match their dresses) which we'll wear for the ceremony on the beach:

No, this is definitely a good question to ask! I want to wear heels for the reception too (on the pool deck as well) so I hope a past bride can answer this...

WestBacani- are you wearing your flip flops for the ceremony? I'm totally confused about that. I kinda pictured a barefoot wedding on the beach, but what if the sand is super hot? That won't be a cute sight at all, lol... But I also know that walking in sand with flip flops can be really difficult, with sand kicking everywhere (unless the sand in that area is pretty compacted??)

If anyone has any insight, please share : )  I've seen really cute foot jewelry in magazines (barefoot sandals I think they're called) so I kinda wanted to do that for the ceremony. I'm confused too

No, I ordered them through the resort. They put them up and everything. I really didnt have any room in my suitcase to add any more stuff for the wedding.  The main stuff I took with me was the chair sashes and table linens and welcome bag.

I really didn't want to go through the planning of using an outside vendor. I didn't think it was necessary. You really do not need that many decorations. The resort is so beautiful. I would not spend a ton of money on decorations.
