Lindsey - just wanted to say I just got done seeing your pics again and I'm on emotional overload (and trying my best not to cry). You looked beautiful and seems like everyone had an amazing time. SOO happy for you! CONGRATS again! :)

Question: I already have 4 huge suitcases full of wedding things and by the looks of it I'm sure we'll end up with 6-8 bags ultimately. I have no clue how we're going to get all this stuff to the airport and then dealing with customs and then getting to the resort. The good thing is that we have a direct flight. The bad is that our families are out of town so we can't hand bags off. Any thoughts on how to handle this from past, present or future brides with similar problem? Thanks.

1. On our site visit Gina informed us that they provide the sand/vases for the ceremony. However, I don't know how much of an overprice that is in comparison to Michael's or another comparative site here.

5. I used orientaltrading.com and the price was really reasonable for the maracas. Sign up for emails and you'll receive a code for free shipping.

Hope it helps. :)

Is it true that guys can't WR shorts OR sandals in any of the restaurants?
This is true. We reminded our guests of this SO MANY TIMES before we all left and it was still a huge issue for some of our guests. I personally don't mind the dress code, but I get why other people do. Anyhow, just make sure you warn everyone so they are not caught off guard.

OK I am a exactly one month away and had a few questions.... 1. Does the resort provide the sand ceremony?? Ithought I remember reading somewhere that they did provide that. 2. For cake cutting should we bring our own knife for that also?? 3. Did they give anyone a hard time or do a bad job with the pressing of the dress and husbands clothing?? 4. Did anyone use bubbles or are you allowed to have bubbles for after the ceremony?? 5. Looking for plain maracas to order as favors. Can anyone recomend a site that is not ridiculously priced?? I would need about 65 pairs of maracas That is all i can think of right now but as with everything else I am sure I will remember anything else after I post this.
1. Yes. We brought zero items for our sand ceremony. They provided us with 2 beakers of sand- one natural, and one blue, which I was really surprised about. Then they left it in our room that night. We have a frame for it for when we get home. 2. We didn't bring anything, they provided us utensils that we do not keep. 3. When we met with Lorena, she gave us instructions on how to get our items pressed. It was simple and included in our package. 4 n/a 5. N/a

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
