College survival kit

Cute ideas Megan! What about adding some fun books to read, like "What Smart Women Know", which is a good book for women about men and relationships. I'd also add some flip-flops for the showers, and maybe one of those cute towel body wraps that have velcro on them that you could wear to and from the shower. Easy Mac is also a fun midnight study snack.

Oooo... I love putting this type of stuff together. The dollar store and big lots are your friend.

Here is a cute poem that I have used:

Craft survival kits make fun and resourceful gifts for parents, kids, friends, teachers.

If you think the poem is dumb just put together a big basket of useful stuff:

Laundry basket

Detergent

Dryer sheets

Dish soap

Plastic cups, plates, utensils

Food you can make in the microwave: easy mac, ramen, etc.

School stuff: binders, pens, etc.

White board for the door

Cute towel, spa wrap

Shower caddy

Shower flip flops

Bath stuff

You get the picture...

- Gift cards are always great! esp to Target and food place because campus food get way old way fast.

- Bath towels or a wrap

-Laundry detergent

-Tylenol, actually a whole medicine box! I got sick a lot my freshmen year with everything going around in the dorms and my roommate had one of these and it probably saved our lives.

- Portable toilet paper (I know this sounds strange but I remember in college we went to many a party where the bathrooms were always being used or completely broken, if you did get in there was no TP so we'd always go outside and it was great to have - I once saw a girl wipe herself with used TP she found on the ground in the woods and wanted to puke, freshmenwink.gif )

- an extra set a bed sheets was nice if you couldn't get home to do laundry or didn't want to do it there

- a t-shirt from her school

Cute idea. This is something she'll really appreciate!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
