Jamaica & Babies...specifically ROR

Recommended Posts

Hi Gang,

Sorry if this is a repeat post, but I haven't came across any threads to do with children & babies at the resort. My MOH(my sister) is due Jan 13th...and we get married May 6th.

We have 35 booked, so it's gonna be a big event in our family, and of course she and her husband do not want to miss it- but they'll do what's best for the baby.

Doctors say as long as mom and baby are healthy-it's fine, and of course as long as they take necesary precautions....it should be ok, but as a mom to be-shes worried to death.

Have any of you ever had 4 month olds with you? Did you see many babies?Any advice ould be appreciated.

I would bring my baby, no question, esp. if i was exclusively breastfeeding (not sure if that's your sister's plan) (this way there is no worry about mixing formula, water, etc)

One of my best friends has a baby who will be 8 months old when I get married, and she is planning to bring her (and she is in the medical profession - related to babies).. I think it will be fine.

I am glad this question was asked...I am bringing both my children (although they are much older) but it still worries me to travel with a toddler who will be 3 by the time we go to ROR. I will make sure my luggage is full of sunscreen, pepto bismol, gravol and advil/tylenol lol!

My 2nd daughter was 2mths premature and my oldest daughter is 3yrs. Both were in jamaica and had the time of thier lives. As long as the baby is healthy then no worries mon. Do your best to keep them cool if your on the beach thats a main thing.

We'll be taking our 2 children when we get married in sept who will be Jake, 23 month and Charlie, 7 month and also my 18month old nephew, Lucas! I was worried, although we took Jake to Cuba last year when he was 8 month and all was fine! Jake and Lucas have had to have Injecs to go but Charlie is too young. So of course i will have to boil bottled water and take my own food for him! What a heavy case im gunna have! 2 weeks worth of food and milk!....and nappied for the both!! Gosh!

I vacationed at ROR last summer and Yes there were babies there from 5months and older. My daughter is my flower girl in my wedding I would not have her miss our special day for nothing she is 4 yrs old. So there should be no problem at all with your sister bringing her baby. It will be fun take lots of pictures.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
