So im a little freaked out with one thing that has come up- they told me I can't rent out an entire restuarant for a private reception unless I have over 40 people. I only have 30. So i don't know what to do

Rose, is your wedding at the del mar?
Mine is at the Lindo, but I think I'll only have about 30 people as well.....I am still waiting for those 2010 prices anyway! ugh!

Make 10 new friends at the resort and invite them =) I know I'd sure join a wedding reception if I was invited!!

Amy- Its at the Lindo.

Finley- lol, I can try inviting some more people and see if that works, but I should probably see what I can get them to do money wise. I really want a private reception.

Definitely see what you can do. I am going to attempt to email again to get those prices for 2010.
We are in the same boat since the Maya/Lindo are basically the same, sharing the property.
On another note....I just went to the resort's photographer's facebook page and saw some great candids that have reassured me about some of their photography skills. they are from the past few weeks so very recent. i know I will be using them. I'm also going to check out their youtube videos

Just a couple of quick questions, i hope you dont mind answering ?

Do any of you ladies know if the hotel supply coloured bows for the chair backs or if we have to bring them with us. Also does anybody know the kind of set up they have for a beach ceremony.

When we met with Reyna she told us they have white, silver, or gold chair ribbons. If you want a different color you might have to bring your own. Double check on that though, because they may have gotten more colors since the last time I talked with her about that.

I know that the Lindo had white and gold for sure. Unfortunately that was a detail that we totally forgot about and they used the gold for our wedding. I wasn't the biggest fan of the gold.

The set up for the beach ceremony is pretty simple, but there are lots of extras that you can add on. I'll try to upload a picture of our ceremony for you.
