Who ran your iPod?

Recommended Posts

we just finished doing all this stuff so here is what we planned- we are using the IPOD for EVERYTHING- the wedding and the recpetion. so i have multiple playlists titled

1. Grooms Entrance

2. bridesmaids entrance.

3. brides entrance-blah

4. recessional

5. cocktail hour

6. first dance

7. father daughter

8. mother son

9. dinner

10. cake cutting

11. recpetion- party music

so we have 11 playlists- but they are numbered- which puts them in the order that they need to be played in. my best friend is going to run it. she is familar with ipods but i wanted to make it as fooproof as possible- so that way she isnt stressed about it. we arent planning on being announced either. hope this helps and wasnt too much info for ya!

Christa, did you pack the speaker in your carryon or check it?

I'm going to have to download so many damn songs!!

BTW, can you download songs to your IPOD from CD's that you have at home?? This is probably a really dumb question, but I figured I better ask!
Yes Jill, you need an iTunes account, then you can download cd's onto iTunes...it's pretty easy. Let me know if you need help!

Thanks Lisa! I actually already have an itunes account and some songs downloaded because I copied the songs onto cd's. I think I should be able to figure it out, hopefully! I'll have to go pick up an IPOD in the next few weeks.rockon.gif

Hmmnm, you girls are making me think twice about a DJ. Honestly, between mine, and my best friend's music selection we would have plenty of song selection. I was just concerned about the announcements, entrances and transitions. Maybe, I could hire someone to be in charge of this all.

For those of you who used your IPOD's...approximately how many songs did you need? I have a nano and it holds I think 500 songs (I honestly don't know because I have never used it) So I am thinking depending on how many I need, and the fact that I have yet to put a single song on it...that might cost me alot of money and in my case may not be cheaper to do the ipod since it's .99 a song!

oh, that's a good idea...the only thing is I don't have any cd's!! It sounds weird...but I don't listen to music much...a couple years ago when I moved I sold all my cd's to some consignment place because they were just collecting dust! My fiance doesn't have much either...I took some of his with me!! :0

My friends have some...I wonder if I can transfer songs from another ipod to mine?? My friend has a ton of songs on her ipod she can't live without the thing!! I can just take her songs if that can work...does anyone know?

Thanks Christa

It can be done, but it's a total PITA to try to take someone else's songs that are already loaded on their ipod - the itunes software tries to protect that from happening. It can be done though...

What if your friend burns the songs you like onto a cd for you - then you can load them into your itunes music library & then onto your ipod.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
