We were not planning on have the Valentin do the music/sound because it was so expensive. When we met with Arey on Monday she acted like it was included! YEAH!

We also were told chair covers were extra but they were not! YEAH!

Arey threw in centerpiece as a gift to us (Lupita was not happy about this)! YEAH!

do you mean the music for the recpetion or the ceremony was thown in for free, i didnt want to rent a dj because of the price and my wedding party is really small but i still wanted a "first dance" and i am not sure how that works.

We had the Valentin sound equipment all night. We did use our ipod (they said they had their own but our music was already on ours). The sound guy was at the ceremony and the cocktail hour. He set the equipment up at the dinner but then left to go run the evenings entertainment. We had a guest introduce the first dances and then make an announcement about where we were headed after dinner.

If worked out great for us.

We did get a price list for the sound equipment and the wedding packages don't specify that you will have sound equipment so I don't know if they always give it to you without a fee or if Arey just did it that day.

WOW! Thank you so much for such a detailed review. It is such a relief to read actual details versus "it was nice" or "I didn't like it." I will make sure to update others with my experience because it makes a huge difference in planning. I agree with your judgment on Ariadna. She is very sweet and helpful and should definitely be the one in charge. Congrats on your wonderful ceremony!!!!!woot.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
