In exactly 7 months today I'm getting married!!!!!!!!!!

I felt the need to make the declaration since it's the first "x-months to the date" moment, having just secured our exact date a few weeks ago :)

Congratulations on your Crohns being remission - the company I used to work for made a medication for that so I know how debilitating it can be.

The centerpiece looks great - using the clear stones makes the flowers stand out a lot more.

Love the BM bouquets - what color ribbon will you be using?

both my grandma and my best friend/MOH have chron's so i know ALL about remicade!

tracy, the centerpieces look fantastic with the clear stones now!! and your BM bouquets are beautiful too... did i read that right, that you made them yourself? the thing i would caution about green ribbon is that if it's the same color as the stems, it can end up looking like a big stick in front of your dress. i went to a wedding where the bride's dress was white and her flowers were wrapped in green and it looked like a stick with a bunch of flowers attached on top!

i FINALLY uploaded some of my pictures... give me a minute and i'll post some...

here are the personalized towels and bags we got for all of our guests (one bag per couple). we used the stargazer image from our monogram and took out our wedding date so it would have a little more "mass appeal" for everyone.

here is the inside of the bags.. don't know if you can tell from the picture but there's a zipper on one side and a pocket on the other and it's a really nice, waterproof material that should wipe down easily if it's used as a beach bag...

jerseykitten,

I was on remicade for a year and half. It was amazing relieft for about half a year until it caused remicade induce lupus (I went crippled for 8 months)

Now on humira, would caused the remission.

I think I'll try white ribbon, I think ebredhawk has a good point with the same color ribbon as the stems. I'll try white and post a pic, see what you guys think

ebredhawk,

I love the towl and bag!!!! where did you get them? and did you do the Dominican republic by yourself? Iron on?

Ohh I'm so sorry to hear your MOH and grandmom deal with this horrible disease, I hope it's very controled for them. You have to be a real good friend to put with crohn's.

I made all centerpiece and bouquets myself (unbelieveable, never done DIY projects lol )

I agree white or blue ribbon for the stems or it'll look horrible like your friend the bride did with her flowers.

Again, love your towel and bag!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
