    Hi everyone,

Just started planning and we wanted USVI - - but found the price prohibitive according to our "planner". Now looking at Jamaica. We are planning for October 2009 but the date keeps changing based on availability.

We have enlisted the help of a "specialist" fron DestinationWeddings.com but the progress is very slow. Doing most of the work myself. Kind of regretting that and looking elsewhere now. She's been working with me for about 6 weeks and I am still frustrated and overwhlemed.

HELP!! I will be poking around and gathering as much info as I can this weekend. I need to get this thing off the ground!!

    Happy Friday!

I also did destinationweddings.com and was upset the first few weeks! I felt like I did more work than my "specialist" and she wasnt very helpful. I emailed the head person on the website (I think her name is Emily) and they re-assigned me to a different "specialist" and since then it has been wonderful and I don't regret it at all!!

PM me if you want more details. The hardest part is getting your place and date booked, once thats taken care of it gets much easier!

            Good Luck!!

Congrats and welcome to the forum from a past DW.com user and Jamaican Bride. I'm going to agree with Joise ... request a new "specialist". I never had a problem with them at all and they worked amazingly well with me on what we were looking for.

Hey ShelbyFL - welcome aboard - you've come to the right place.
Just to add another possibility to your crowded "what-ifs".....the DR is also beautiful and very affordable.
Would be happy to help in any way we can......best of luck with everything!
