Hi Everyone, how exciting time is going so quickly before we know it we will all be married! Just wanted some advise on photographers... I have the dreams of love package and get some photos of the ceremony within this package but I wanted someone all day... Jennt has said its £150 to let another company other than tropical studios onto the resort - who is everyone else using as I LOVE the design of caribbean emotions photos!! :)
I think I'm going to do the resorts photographer. My cousin is coming also she's a photographer so she will be taking pictures too.

Help....Any brides here has actually been to the resort or Caribbean?

I am debating whether to have the reception at the beach or indoor ballroom...and it has been a big battle in my head!

I loooove the image of a beach wedding...dancing, tiki torches, moonlit surrounding...the whole Caribbean feel. But I know it might not be as pretty as I think. Not sure if the guests would like the sand everywhere, and the wind might be strong, the weather might be bad, mosquitoes..etc. We don't really appreciate a lot of strangers standing around watching either.

Ballroom is a little more formal and classy. More private too, along with AC that I am sure everyone would appreciate under such warm weather. But it lacks the whole "tropical, beach and ocean" feel that only nature has to offer. Good thing about indoor venue is we get to have the party going for longer and there are less variations that I need to worry about.

Did all these when through your head when you were trying to decide? What venues are you guys going for and why?

I was so grateful for that. everyone enjoyed the AC. I think that getting married outdoors and partying indoors is best for me and my group lol. I also like the more private feel. hope i helped a little :)

Hiya, I have been to the Dominican a few times before & I always loved the idea of getting married on the beach... I still do!!! But I have seen so many nosey people standing right in the view of all the photos of the couple getting married & it really puts me off! Has anyone seen any photos of a beach wedding at DLR?? :)

Hello! I saw some photos on a thread once that really put me off a beach wedding- people were standing so close, in swimwear and towels a few metres from the bride and groom! Since then they have sectioned off a private area of the beach according to the response on the thread (I will try and find it for you) or ask your WC for some photos? xx

Hello I got married there this year - the area for the beach gazebo is away from the main beach and there's no sunbathers as its straight over a few rocks to the sea - it's pretty private - you can see it from the preferred club and you may get an on looker or 2 but generally people are respectful - on the beach gazebo you can't go bear footed as although it's sand it rough "sand" - there were signs everywhere advising shoes at all times Where ever you get married you will need your DEET or equivalent day and night if you're mossie fodder like I am :) We chose the garden gazebo which again could be seen from the preferred club but still private enough We had the pier for the cocktail hour and that was the only time we had "issues" with people unable to read the "no entry - private ceremony" signs :) We had an out door reception in the garden gazebo at 7.30pm as there were only 5 of us and it was hot :) It didn't rain but we were treated to thunder and lightening Where ever you choose will be fantastic - I can't rate it highly enough :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
