Thank you Mrs. Williams,

What types of flowers are you using for your centerpieces?  I am still trying to figure that out.  I'm doing something a little different for my bridesmaids where they will have a clutch in their hands with a calla lilly attached due to the fact that I am having a hard time with the flowers and as you said, they are really expensive.

Here are my bridesmaids bouquets and the centerpice I chose was one from their website and I just went ahead and splurged since I was still inside the budget with the fresh flowers and I had made everything else, including the bouquets.  I bought the flowers from Michaels when they were 50% off, bought 3 spools of dark purple ribbon and used the left over gray ribbon from another project.  I used a heavy duty wire cutter to cut the ends of the flowers, took off all of the greenery on the stems, wrapped them together and covered them in the ribbon, the opposite color of each girl's dress.  I then used a spool of pearls I purchased from Michaels for about $3.99 a piece and wrapped them in a spiral look.  They cost me approximately $100 total or about $17.00 a girl.  the hotel wanted $115 per girl for the same bouquet in fresh flowers.

Hi Ladies,

A quick hello.  This resort is gorgeous and everyone has been amazing. I am only meeting Yianna today as she was busy with brides yesterday and the concierge said... go enjoy... we want you to be happy and relaxed.

Customer service amazing. A few bumps with rooms but nothing major or anything that was not quicky fixed. WE are a big group with three different parting cities so it was to be expected.

Food excellent, drinks devine. So in regards to the resort, we are extremely pleased and very impressed. I will let you know how the WC goes.   Still a bit nervous on that one as I'm not sure if they are going to change things up on me.

I have yet to take alot of pics because of the flurry of family and friends.

Thank you so much for sharing.  Good idea, I am going to work on that as well, question and sorry for so many questions what are they charging you per center piece?  What about the vase, do they have them there or are you bringing them in?  Everything looks really nice, you did a great job with the flowers ;)

If anyone is interested in wedding favors or other decor items, I came accross this web site that has very decent prices and also provides some interesting choices I haven't seen before at any other online vendor.  http://www.lightinthebox.com/wholesale-Weddings---Events_c1180  They also have a nice selection of dresses, shoes, accessories, etc.

Thank you for posting this website.  I am going to look into it and see if there is anything on here that I can use as bridesmaids gifts because I don't know what to get them.

Dana, I am so happy you're having a great time and you are putting my mind at ease.  Are any of your guests utilizing the kids club? If so, can you let me know their feelings on it?

The flowers are running from $84-184.  The bouts for the guys are $20, so I have no problem getting those from over there, I was just not going to pay $115 for the bridesmaids bouquets. The vases are included in the price of the centerpiece, so I don't have to worry about bringing my own.  And thanks about the choice of flowers.  It has taken a REALLY long time to get to the point of agreement on the flowers.  Now, I just need a clear conscensus on the menu choices.

ok girls.... another quick checking as the FH and i are exhausted and burnt out and decided to make it an early night and just chill in the room. (we just came back from Portofino and had the most amazing beef filet and also grouper) Anyway.. great food.

My meeting with Yianna went fine.  I got everything that I was promised and she really is great to deal with. When I say I was ready to fight for everything. I had my MOH as backup. But it seems to have gone seemlessly. Yes i have some options that others will not have as new brides. But they really. REALLY, aim to please here. I will ofcourse give a full review of everything as soon as I'm back.

KID'S CLUB:  Personally none of the children have participated in the kids club, we are 47 very active family members and babies are passed around and such. But I have to say i'm totally impressed with the movies they set up on the beach. Activites and such. Kid friendly pool.  So i would imagine its all great. I see kids in the Core Zone all the time and they seem amused. The only thing i  did notice was that adults are not allowed in the kids club. Which I can see is a plus as you do not want strangers near your child.

Ladies, i'm still little stressed with things and i'm also runnning on empty (47 people is constant entertaining) But it is honestly a wonderful place. The food is amazing, if you don't like one thing you will for sure enjoy another!!!

off to snuggle and have some down time.

xxoo talk to you all very soon.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
