Hey ladies just an fyi the resort dj has horrible reviews! That in itself made me change my mind and go with DJ Mannia he gave me a great price to DJ and to add in the lighted dance floor and he comes with special lighting. He has really good reviews on here and a DJ can make or break a reception, especially if they are not a good MC. Idk those are just my thoughts and DJ Mannia threw in doing my ceremony!

I am doing this package, I think we will need the mc and the special lights seem cool. I wish i could skip the music trio from cocktail hour  and out the money towards the dj. I wonder if they would let me do that. the disco seems like the plan after the reception lol. my family are partiers and they would probably head over there! did your friend have the mc by any chance? maybe I dont need all this fancy dancy stuff lol

 

 

Honestly my friend had her uncle DJ the whole thing. She didnt have an MC or lights - I won't either. My package includes the trio as well and honestly from the posts I've seen guests really enjoy them. I'm actually looking forward to it, but if they do a sucky job i can let you know ahead of time since my wedding is a few months before yours. As far as swapping services from the package and out the money towards something else I'm not sure if they let people do that. All of the documentation I've received says you cant, but who's to say you can't ask maybe they'll make an exception for you. As far as hair and makeup  I've heard they do let you give those to your mom etc if you prefer to do your hair and make up yourself.

They also will not let you swap things out, I inquired with Yanna and she told me they couldn't. They will let you negotiate some pricing, which I have done for a lot of things.

lol, thank you again im kinda freaking out about this lol im going to contact dj mannia. my concern is the day pass how much are you paying i think you told me you hired hdc too. since I will be using hdc too my fiance said he was concerned about hiring two outside companies

If you dont mind me asking what kind of pricing were you able to negotiate with Mannia? Don't worry I will never share with them what you've told me I'd just like to know how much wiggle room I potentially have as far as negotiating.

Guess I'll be using my fiancé for negotiating!! He's awesome at that! Lol when where you able to get the resort to let you reserve a block for you guest? Ooh and are you staying in the master honeymoon suite? Lol just wondering

I will DM you my price. I have to pay the 150 fee because hes an outside vendor but that includes his day pass and I am paying that for DJ Mannia and HDC a piece. I did my room block I think in sept or october of last year, I think, I could be wrong. I am not staying in the master as of now, I am negotiating that now to make sure I can get it as an upgrade with my group rate. They let me negotiate pricing for things that the vendors bring like my chairs, charger plates, floral arrangements etc.

Hey ladies

 

So far I'm doing the flowers, DJ and videographer outside of the resort. Has anyone heard any reviews on the resort photographer? Everything is slowly starting to add up.

From the reviews I have seen earlier in this post Tropical Studios doesn't do good work and they don't have good reviews. If you look through a lot of the brides previous reviews they tell you not to book them, plus their packages are really expensive.

I also wanted to give you guys a head up if you have more than 50 people coming to your wedding don't get the buffet! The menu is horrible you get grilled chicken and beef tenderloin, like who wants that for their wedding? I am going back and forth with Yanna now because I do not want to switch over to the buffet and I would like to have the original per plate GOLD menu.
