Take the test to ease your mind. I recently went off the pill after being on it for ages and was freaking out cause I thought I was preggo too. I couldn't sleep and I HAD to go get a test. Keep us posted!

For the record it sounds like you are extra safe so i think it's just you switching pills... :)

I just took a test two days ago... and relief :)... take it... not taking it is like not wanting to get on the scale : when you get on it, not only it's already there (or not...), but on top of this, you have kept on worrying about it for days !! wink.gif

Hi Katy,

I am assuming for you and me both its a stress related thing! As I am totally in the same boat. I've been on the same bc for years and years. Then I was switched to a generic brand which really screwed things up. I switched back and had one normal month and then missed my period. I took a test and it was negative, but still no period again.

This of course has me even more stressed, which I am sure isn't helping the situation. My wedding is 2 months away, and I also wasn't quite ready to be preggo's, I booked 2 weeks at an all inclusive after all :)

I'm going to take one more test just to be sure, then chalk it up to stress. Maybe wedding planning has been more stressful than I have thought.

Anyways, just wanted to let you know your not alone in this craziness! Let us know how things go.

I just saw your reply earlier that Lo-Estrin is the pill you think they switched you to. Well coincidently, last night I had dinner with some girlfriends and 2 of them are both new to that same pill and it's been 2 months for one, and 3 months for the other since they've gotten their period! They both said their doctor told them that this pill slows it down A LOT- so some months you may not get it at all! So I really think you have nothing to worry about- it really does sound like it happens to be this pill that you're now on. Having said that, I have to agree with everyone else and just to ease your mind, I would take a home pregnancy test. I went off the pill back in July because I thought it was causing me stomach pains. I didn't get my period for a few months (which is normal for me when I'm not on the pill) but I took a test just to ease my mind. It was negative, but I didn't get my period until last night- EIGHT MONTHS LATER!!! Good luck and try not to worry!!!

Thank you very much. It is good to know others are having this problem too. Nice of my doctor to fill me in on what happens when you change pills - I guess I should have known. I'm going to take a test this afternoon to make sure. But I can definitely tell my cycle is ALL screwed up. Thanks to everyone - y'all really know how to make a girl calm down and feel better!smile03.gif

You NEED to get a pregnancy test. I was in the exact same situation as you on BC for cramps but then I switched my birth control because I was too moody on them and BAM that was the month I got pregnant! I talked to my doctor and she said that switching between birth controls is like not being on birth control and then going on it....it isn't effective for the first couple of weeks. Well now I ahve a 2 and a half year old and he is my life, but defintely wasn't planned thanks to the good 'ol birth control!!!

FI and I had this same scare last week! He mentioned that my chest looked/felt slightly larger...I FREAKED. It wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if I were to be preggo (honestly it excites me just a little) but with just a few months before the wedding?! The first thing I thought of is how going to an all-inclusive would be such a waste because I wouldn't be able to drink...welll, long story short: I took a test and it was negative. I had just switched to Yaz so I'm sure that's what's causing the change in my body (not that I'm complaining...)

Did you take the test yet?? ::crossing my fingers for you::

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
