Heck - I've been married for 2 years now, and I'm still in the 'post wedding' blues!!! We had the most fantastic 3-week wedding trip/honeymoon 2 years ago, and ever since I've still felt somewhat 'empty' and I'm always looking for another project! I think this is the main reason I'm still here on BDW - I can share everyone else's experiences! I'm lucky because my best friends have decided to get married in Mexico next January, and she is not a planner, so she has recruited me to help with her wedding plans!
I totally want to start a wedding business of some sort! Maybe we should do that together!?! we do live in the same city after all!
Your wedding photos (the few that I've seen) look gorgeous and I'm glad you had a great time...I'm sorry you didn't get as much alone time on your honeymooon week as you would have liked...but you can definitely plan for your next trip!
If you want to chat, pm or email me any time!

Francis and I are planning another trip to somewhere in Mexico for this time next year. We both feel madly in love with snorkelling, thanks to Al and Noelle, who are in Cozemel right now, so jealous. Did you know that after spending two weeks at the Colonial they treked over to Cozemel, then are on their way to Peru on Friday?
I'm so happy for them that they can do that, they were so excited!!!!

And how funny, I love looking at the local real estate market as well! I love the virtual tours and even though we just moved a few months ago it is fun to look at the other homes and get decorating ideas!

Wow.. I started my own thread which is pretty much the same as yours.... post wedding blues - Anyone?
We were only married 6 days apart and are from SK.. you think it's the crappy weather
I know I had to start a thread cuz my FI didn't know what my problem was.. and really neither did I... I was lucky however... my FI's parents wanted to stay with us for the second week.. AHHHHH... but we discussed and moved them to another resort...
I was wondering... did you find it hard to change your name I think that's when my 'blues' kicked in.... I'm a bit older than most brides (35). I was having issues with my career and life have one name and now that I was married I as just changing everything... like I was losing part of myself.
I didn't want to hypen, but also want my accomplishments under my maiden name to still count... sounds odd... I mean logically of course they count, and I am only changing a piece of paper.. but it really seemed much more monumental than that...
anyways, from one Sk girl to another... we may be sad.. but we all need something more to focus on and plan next years anniversay and make it the best second honeymoon ever~!~!!!

I've actually been wondering about this myself. This happened to me last year-we went to Taiwan for 3 weeks in August and knew about it 18 months in advance. So we planned and spent lots of time talking about it and getting ready. Then we went....and we came home. And it was hard to come down.
So now I'm planning my wedding, which is 100x better than a trip to Taiwan and I'm trying to prepare myself for the same let down.
But... there is the AHR, the holidays (we're getting married in Nov) and then maybe, sometime next year we'll think about adding to our family.
Oh..and I'm struggling with the name change too....I'm well established in my career (8 years) and going from my unique name to his common one feels....bland? I voted that we play boggle with the letters of our last names, blindfold ourselves and order the blocks. FI wasn't so impressed with that idea. Something about carrying on the line of Parkers. (Because Parker's are a dying family name).
Anyway, I'm glad this thread is here and that I'm not the only one that's going to go through this.
