Wow.  That was a day of reading.  Will I still have a job tomorrow??  Great ideas!!  I keep thinking to myself it would be so much easier to mail all this stuff.  But then, who wants to spend their vacation putting bags together?

At first I was going to put sunscreen in my bags as well but most people remember to pack it.  So I have been trying to find individual aloe packets for sunburn.

We are doing OOT bags with small goodies but are also incorporating a 10 dollar gift certificate to rent snorkel equiptment for the week ( starts at $9 pp at our hotel) and possibly an underwater camera if I can find affordable ones.  Guests who don't snorkel will also be able to use the certificate towards boogie boards or surf board rentals or cabanas.

We are not getting married at an all-inclusive (Maui), so we thought this would be a great way to host an activity since our resort is right on the beach and near a great spot for snorkeling!

My fiancee wasn't into the OOT bag until I figured out a way to turn it into an activity for our guests as well!

Did anyone that didn't stay at an AI do travel mugs, and were they used.  I originally wanted some for excursions, but now am thinking that they won't be utilized...

We won't be doing personalized bags.  I am going to print a card with our logo on each and tie them to the bags we choose.  Still trying to figure this out!

This thread has been extremely helpful.

I was thinking of doing my oot bag differently.  My wedding is in Feb 2011......less than 2 months!  Most of our friends coming is using this as their second honeymoon.  My theme is "destination love" ( corny but cute).  So i wanted to add aromatherapy bath salts, lotion, candles but i think my resort has them in the rooms so instead a room spray.........lol.  Trying to add cards but Fi says that doesn't go with the love theme.  What you all think.  What bags did you find everyone liked.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
