Wow! I really don't know how you ladies do it! You have so much planning done. I have my dresses, my earrings, invites (message in a bottle) out and I'm just waiting for the FH to get back into town so we can put a deposit on the wedding. I am finding it very hard to get things done. Thank goodness for this forum. At least I KNOW what I want....except for colors.doh.gif

I'll get a handle on that soon too! I hope!

Hi everybody! Another November 2009 bride here!

Iâ€m glad I found you girls. I am getting married Nov 12, 09 at Moon Palace in Cancun! We are so excited, and we took almost 6 months nailing down the perfect resort and confirming a date that worked for everyone.

So far we have:

-reserved our wedding date/time with MP

-Rings bought

-asked BM and GM (who have all accepted)

-created a wedding website (which still has no details on it)

BUT…. It seems like the list of to-doâ€s is never ending.

-We have to book our trip!!

-Send out STDs

-I still need to find my dress! I have been engaged for 7 months and havenâ€t gone looking once yet! I just loathe dress shopping in general…..

-Find a tan suit for FH

-Find BM and GM outfits

-Make or find affordable Passport Invitations

-Nail down a travel agent and get the word out to my guests who want to book!

-Engagement pics

Can someone hand me a paper bag please.... I start hyperventilating thinking about all this stuff! I also want to make some awesome OOT bags, programs and place cards.

Here is my QUESTION to you ladies:

If invite goes out 6 months prior to the wedding, are you having them RSVP? What is your RSVP deadline??

Congrats everyone! :)

Evelyn

Hey Evelyn! I am actually sending out my invites this week sometime... and our RSVP date to get some numbers in is march 7th. We have a deposit thing set up with my TA and that deadline is April 7th just so that she can hold the block of rooms for us. Then the guests can continue to pay up to 60days prior... so that is my reasoning for sending so soon... but it gives them the oppportunity to put their deposit down and then make payments when they can. Its going to work out great I think!! At least by march I will know our numbers!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
