I can't even find time to focus on me. partially beacuse I'm obsessed with BDW. But also working 2 jobs and in 2 weddings. I'm not even sending out my invites until August! I havent done much of anything besides the place, my dress, bm dresses and STD's. wish me luck :)

I am obsessed with BDW too, I'll be doing homework then the next thing I know I am checking out the BDW site. It's crazy!! All I have done so far is STD, my dress, place so it looks like we are on the same track Josie!

I have looked for everything else and have an idea of what I want but nothing set in stone.

Oh, question, what are your FH & GM wearing? I am curious and I have looked on the attire threads and haven't got any inspiration yet. I was thinking all white linen for FH and white linen pants with a white linen blue/pink shirt (depending on the color of BM dresses) for the GM. Do you think that would be too much white?

Hey ladies

I have to agree with you all - anything over 6 months seemed far away. All of a sudden, we're into the 5 month count down and I'm starting to freak out a little. I finally got my invites out this weekend, so that's one thing off my list.

I'm also starting a new job next week that requires a lot of training and different courses. I'm sure the next 5 months are going to fly by!!!

Lisa - I wish you lived next door to me or something, because I'm pretty sure we're exactly the same. I cannot figure out groomsmen attire and the FI seems hard to please. He doesnt want a linen suit, but he also wants to look different from the other groomsmen! he wants a white shirt and linen pants, which i'm ok with....but now what about the GM? huh.gif i think they'd look kinda cheesy in a hawiian shirt and i'm not thrilled about the idea of finding a solid orange that will match my girls.....so what do i do? i stop looking all together and put it off!! hahaha

I'm glad the other girls are with me on the time frame thing :)

I'll try not to forget to bring my babycakes to the wedding... hahaha!

Megan - I do like the suit your picked for your FH, I think that the same color pants and a white button down shirt would look good.

Josie - I am pretty sure we are the same!! I think in your case the guys should wear white button down shirts too and then you could just have an orange boutinere (sp??)

My FH wants to wear all linen which I am fine with but I am unsure how all white will look, I was thinking gray pants with a white shirt and blue flowers for the guys and the girls and then hopefully a pink dress for the girls, then I am incorporating all the colors I want. My FH does not want to wear gray though because if he sweats it will show through. Blah, I just don't know what to do!

I am with the no hawiian shirt though and I think it would be to much of the color if the BM & GM were both wearing it. Who knows. I need to see more pictures!!

I love the linen suit look and the white shirt with linen pants!!! My mom says "Well Jason has to look different than the other GM's" and my response is Why? At at traditional wedding they all wear tuxes and look almost exactly the same, with the exception of maybe the grooms tie/bow tie.

Lisa when you say white & blue, are you thinking like this?

There is also this linen white/gray that would look good for the GM w/ gray pants! but it doesnt incorporate their blue

Hey date twin. I'm soo excited that I finally have you haha.

Ok well i have alotta stuff done but thats bc I have a wc who basically does everything and I tend to micromanage her (soo not good lol).

I'm still working on completing my OOT bags. I'm the only one with attire thus far. FI is so not into clothes so this is a big challenge. I'm letting him do what he wants. I really want him in off white linen (my gown is off white) and the gms in khaki colored linen pants and maybe off white or green shirts based on what my girls wear. We are going shopping for the ladies this weekend as my out of town bm will be home. My colors are orange and green but I think the girls will be wearing green watters gowns.

Besides that I just have to

-finish purchasing stuff for my tasting ceremony

-figure out my favors- I need to email my wc and figure out something that's relevant to st thomas I was thinking the hot sauce from this place called glady's in st thomas but they don't have a website so i have to do some more research.

-My guestbook- I'm think I want to do postcards that my wc will put in the mail after the wedding so we can receive them when we get home. It'll be fun to get diff ones everyday (unless they all come before we get home lol we'll be on an 8 day cruise)

-centerpieces- don't wanna do flowers bc we can't take them back on the ship. Since we have a luncheon reception i was thinking maybe pictures of the married couple who inspire us (mainly ppl on the trip with us) with candles and star fist or something

-programs and menus (which I'll prolly have ana do since she did an awesome job on my invites.)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
