Hey Jodi, That is exactly what I think we are going to do. So, we don't have to worry about giving blood and all that. Just get married at the JP and have the ceremony down there! :-) I am pretty fixed on Excellence. I have fallen in love with it. I have looked at peoples pics and they are so beautifuL!

The only problem I have is that I cant plan anything until a year after the desired date. And the website doesnt really give much information about the stuff I need. But as plus you get a wedding coordinator I guess that will take out some of the stress I'll be experiencing this year.

But Good Luck and read about the rules with a Mexican wedding... Like the blood test (which may take up to 15 days). I'm still trying to figure out if the wedding certificate will be in english. We might just end up getting married here and then have the ceremony in Mexico

You will love Riviera Maya, it is beautiful. I just attended a wedding in Playa del Carmen at The Royal. I have decided to get married somewhere down there next year. My mind changes on a daily basis though:)! I really loved the beaches of Tulum, but loved the city of Playa del Carmen. The Royal was AI and was about 3 blocks from the main area of Playa del Carmen. I really liked this because you did not feel secluded and could get out of the hotel easily to explore. Most bars/restaurants and boats to Cozumel were only a short walk away. Congrats!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
