Iberostar Rose Hall Brides - Post all info/questions here!

I promise I'm not drinking....

Hey Past and Future IB Brides, does anyone know what time the Beach party starts and what they actually have at the party at IB Beach?  I know the beach party is on Thurs and I'm considering doing what one bride did and have everyone meet in the bar for a mini welcome reception and then we all go to the beach party.  Do they  have a band or a DJ out there and/or food and drink?  Just curious.  Sorry if I missed it in a previous post.

Another question...

I'm also considering a bonfire, first question is will it be too hot (and will it be strange) to have a big fire in July?  Second, do they provide lighting (or does the moon offer enough light) if I wanted to do a dance floor on the beach?  I dont want it lit up like Christmas but I don't want it too dark either.

I heard about the beach party as well and was going for the exact same thing however we missed out on the Thursday spot and are now getting married on the Wednesday instead. From what I was told they start the beach party a bit on the late side (like 10ish I think) but they party all night. Someone told me they were out there til around 1 am. They had both live band AND a DJ at one that a friend attended and at another that my friend's coworker went to they had only the DJ. The beach bar stays open for the whole party as well, no food that I heard of.

I am also booking the bonfire on the beach (since there's no party already that night). I only found one picture of it. it's in the Rose Hall Suites review section on here. It doesn't look like a super big fire so I don't think it will matter how hot it is. And it would appear that it is a little on the dark side so it's probably only appropriate for smaller groups.

I did confirm that it is $100 fee plus $75 per person via email. So if your photographer has an assistant that would be a total of $250...Straight Bull-...I was also advised up front that they do not allow other florist to service the weddings at the beach. I plan on using tai flora either way. If I were you I would email them your question directly to ensure you have their answer in writing.

I emailed the question about the lighting to the wc at the beach since I am doing a BBQ reception on the beach and she advised me the do provide extra lighting as needed. As always, I suggest in addition to posting your questions on BDW that you email the wc with the question directly so that you have the info in writing from them:)

Hey! We are also considering doing some kind of dinner and reception on the beach. Would you mind letting me know what they charge for this?

Thanks for the info! It seems a bit outrageous that they're charging us twice for the same thing! I'm going to email the resort about the florist before I even research different vendors. If it's that much extra in fees, that money would probably go a long way in additional flowers from Tai Flora.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
