Hi Jenny,

 

The video looks amazing! We are getting married at SMB on December 9, 2011!!!

 

So a couple quick questions for you and any other SMB brides out there...

 

The chairs at the ceremony - I LOVE the look without the covers! Are they the standard chair that comes with but just without a cover?

DJ - Who did the Djing? was it the one the resort recommends?

Reception - I couldn't tell from the video but where did you do the reception? We have requested the poolside Gazebo - I think this is where you had your ceremony?

 

I could go on and on, but let's start with those :)

Hello!! I just booked recently... I live in the UK now but have booked through a TA in Vancouver as I am moving back there before the wedding and most guest will be travelling from there anyway. Message me if you have any questions and I'll do by best to help :)

Hi Sarah!

 

Yup, those are the standard chairs without the seat covers.  They're what you'll get if you don't make any special requests for other types of chairs.  I love the look without the chair covers too. :)

 

Our DJ was provided by the resort.  His name was Joshua and he was super AWESOME!!!  He played such great music, plus he was humorous and really got the crowd going! :D  Also, everyone loved the lighted dance floor (instead of the regular wooden one).  If it's in your budget, I would totally recommend getting it! 

 

We had the dinner reception at the Barracuda Terrace, which is on the other side of the gazebo, and next to the pool.  It was perfect and I loved it. :)  And we also had hanging lights over the reception.  It makes the ambiance great and looks pretty in pictures, so I really recommend that too if it's in your budget. :)  You get a choice of round lights or star lights.

Do you know if you have the dinner next to the gazebo can you put some lights up and turn it into a dance floor? I love the idea of dancing it up in a gazebo :) Though the light up dance floor has always seemed like a lot of fun hmmmm....

Girls,

 

We just got married at Secrets on May 5 and I still cant believe how amazing it was.......

 

I KNOW all of you will have a gorgeous wedding.....

 

It was the most amazing time of my life....

Cecilia was GREAT, she is so calm and professional.

 

Oh, I did get the groomsroom free of charge too...

 

i had very small wedding,no bridal party only 6 guests.

 

Hotel is simply amazing, most beautiful resort I have ever seen with such polite staff and accomadating...

 

Amazing....

they only set up dance floor at pool side not at gazebo

 

I saw a few weddings set up while i was there and it was fantastic

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
