For the Silver/Gold dinner menu, there are three different choices on each course.

I'm just wondering if all the guests can select diff combination on the reception night? or

Bride and Groom have to pre-select one from each course?

Do you know if i can mix it with two main course (for example, 10 suft and turf and 10 chicken)?

thanks....

We chose one soup, salad, and desert for everyone then gave our guests the option of their main course.  We had stuffed chicken (I think it had chili sauce and cheese inside) and the Surf & Turf (steak and shrimp).  We also had two vegetarians and Valeria arranged for them to have Vegetarian Lasagna.  If you do it this way, you have to give them your choices ahead of time.  You can't give the guests a menu and let them choose at dinner.  Valeria asked for the choices a week ahead of time.  I made place cards for everyone with different colors based on their choice. It was a little extra work but everyone got what they wanted and everyone LOVED the food!

Hi Funkydoll! For the beach ceremony, Cecilia came to my room before hand and picked up my ipod. They have the dock. I had 4 songs selected to play while guests were being seated. I believe that was enough. I think 30 minutes of music would be plenty.

  • Beach Ceremony - Sound System Service. All i need is download some music on my ipod.. and they have a ipod dock for it? Cecilia picked up my ipod in my room also, right before the ceremony.  I had created a folder for Ceremony music with five subfolders with the music I had selected for easy recognition:

1) Guest Seating Processional (Marry Me by Train, Somewhere over the Rainbow, and Better Together by Jack Johnson)

2) Family Processional (My groom walked his family to their seats to "Lord Protect My Child" by Susan Tedeschi)

3) Wedding Party Entrance  (We had 5 bridesmaids and 5 groomsmen and they all walked down paired together to Instrumental Version of "A Little Help From My Friends" - Beatles)

4) Bride Entrance (Instrumental Version of Crazy Love - Van Morrison)

5) Recessional (as we kissed, "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" by Stevie Wonder)

Or at least, that was how Cecilia explained it to us. We did arrive in ample time to taste and had the same dilemma as you. However, we kept the Gold menu, it was our favorite.

Take extra songs, in my case the translator has a big delay and we didn't have enough songs to cover the entire delay so we have played 2-3 times .

I can't thank you enough for the quick responses from the ladies!!!

More questions from me...

  • Anyone had purchased/seen the "COOL FIREWORK"?  it's optional for $280.50, not sure how long would it last or if it worth the price...
  • Lighting at the Gazebo area.  Not sure if there's enough light for dinner reception there?
  • "Lightings for tables is $40 each"... anyone had done that... please send me picture for reference
  • or my another option is "Pole with 12 white round lamps" for $200 (lpls send me picture if you had this b4)
  • Cocktail hours will be on the beach... do you know if there will be seating provided on the site?

thanks.....funkydoll

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
