I love talk like a pirate day! Even though I don't ever talk like a pirate.

              Wikipedia has a good explanation:

Sooo... I was doing some stealthy work avoidance and found the official "talk like a pirate day" website. (The Official site for International Talk Like A Pirate Day - September 19)

              They say this:

              Q. The big one: WHY?

              A. Why not?

Talking like a pirate is fun. It's really that simple. It adds a zest, a swagger, to your every day conversation. Do you need another reason?

Try it out. Let go, have a beer, burp in public. Say "Aarrr!!" Feels good, doesn't it?

And for the whole story go here:International Talk Like A Pirate Day - How It All Began

The barista at my coffee shop was dressed like a pirate today. He gave me two dollars of my special drink for ordering like a pirate. Arr!
