    Hi there!
I'm so happy that I found you on this forum. I really need help. I am getting married at Cala Luna (Tamarindo) in March. Silvia Chaves is our coordinator from Costa Rica Paradise weddings. Was she your coordinator? She's been great so far. The dj pricing is BUGGING me...she says $750?? I live in Los Angeels, and that's high!! Anyway, if you don't mind, how much was yours? Thanks, any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

I didn't use a planner, I just used the hotel wedding planner... although I highly recommend you hire one. I used to be a wedding planner so I already had expereince. For this reason, I didn't hire one :)

My DJ was $400... the hotels charge a commission on everything I believe. So that's what makes the price so high. I am trying to get the contact info for my DJ (he was hired through my husband) I don't think he speaks a lot of English but he knows all of the popular songs and played everything that we wanted at the right time

You had an awesome review, I love the location!! I think this is my final pick for a destination wedding in Costa Rica...I have a couple questions, while im waiting on a reply from the hotel, the villa caletas, is at or a partner of zephyr pallace? Do you know if theres an option where you can have the ceremony down on the beach, and than have the reception outside at the zephyr palace? I love the amp. where you had your ceremony as well, is that connected to the zephyr pallace? Did you also have your reception here? I'm debating on hireing a wedding cordinatior outside of the hotel to cordinate everything (but i have to see if its within my budget first!) Or is it possible to try to cordinate everything myself? I would think that maybe the wedding planner would be able to get better deals then me trying to go through everything through the hotel...Are the pallace/villias pretty firm on their prices?

We also plan on honeymooning here, maybe getting a room at the palace the night of the wedding, and than honeymooning at a one bedroom villia....Is the location pretty good as far as finding stuff to do (site seeing, zipline, beach, volcano...)exct?

Sorry for so many questions!! But thanks in advance for the time :)

            Hi Karen,

Beautiful pics!! Thank you for sharing!! I am also considering Villa Caletas but upon my inquiry, they replied in Spanish. oi vei, gonna get a friend to translate!!

Is the cork fee $12 per bottle?? That seems kinda steep but may be worth it..

Thanks again for sharing your details!!

Villa Caletas is a truly spectacular location. Not only does it have the Amphitheater, Terraza Mirador but they also have the Zephyr Palace as a wedding venue and the beach! We wanted to share with all of you the endless possibilities of Villa Caletas!

              Zephyr Palace:

Ioana & Rolfe had a beach photo session the following morning:

Kelly & Korey had their ceremony at the entrance of the Zephyr:

Edaire & Hemant had a Terraza Mirador ceremony and then Zephyr for the reception:

It rained for Andrea & JuanCarlos, so ceremony was inside the Zephyr, rain stopped-photos outside and then reception at Terraza Mirador

Here are a few more from our blog:
