Grand Sunset Princess Resort

no i don't mind we had a civil ceremony at our house, very relaxed. You can find out that information through city hall. We only told close members of family, just becasue we didn't want people to get pissed at us, so we just kept it small. Saving the party for the cocktail reception when we get back. We have 10 people going, kinda small but it will work. how many are you guys having come down Leslie?

We are having 50 people come down. We aren't doing anything at home when we get back, Mexico is it :)

Apparently a whole new part of the resort opened up this last week, a Spanish tapas restaurant with flanco show, a piano bar and 144 new rooms and a pool :))) All things I love!

There are golf carts that will take you places, however they only run on the outskirts of the hotel and there is only onehuh.gif Not sure. But you might have to wait a little bit.

Hi all,

Just got back early Sunday morning from our week long wedding trip at the GRP. Was super nervous and aprehensive about this hotel, based solely on the Trip Advisor reviews. I waited all week for something to go wrong, but it never did. This hotel exceeded every single one of our expectations and then some. The staff accomodated our every request and the wedding was more stunning and beautiful than we could have hoped for. I am hoping to put a review together over the next week or so. Ease your worries if you have booked here: it is a fantastic resort!

Did you deal with Patricia, she's been awesome to me, and what package did you pick? Did you do a private reception? or just the reception dinner in an a la carte?? if so which one...oh lord, I can't wait to read your review!! lol

just got back monday, had a blast everything was great! continental breakfest in the morning complete with oj and champain! Wedding went well, if you bring a ipod or mp3 player the guy will play your music if you want while your walking down the isle. If not he plays some mexican music. Food was good, we had allicate 6 of the nights. The dinner the day of the wedding doesn't count againtest your intitled 4. But we booked for the 5th and 6th time, and we got it anyways. They didn't even ask. It was our second time there, and everything was great again. The shows got a little better. But there was always something to do.

The allicarts, we had the most luck with La flure, Mama Mia's, international, the grill, and chinese (can't remember what they called it), Not so much with tapinyaki, mind you the performance was great but the food had way to much butter in it. The spanish food...for me, well its a good thing they had the flamingo show (dancing) cause it distracted me away form the crappy food...:) Didn't go bak to la fondu, cause it was really bad the first time, there chocolate is really diffrent then ours, don't believe me, try their deserts at the buffet.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
