Bianca did a great calculation for havingt fabric across the ceiling and said it would take maybe 5o yards for a piece from each corner to the center.

Also, is anyone doing chinese lanterns in the gazebo? Are you using battery operated LED lights? I wanted to do this but then I wondered how to turn them on after they are hung. I wouldnt want them on during the day, but later in the evening(we are having our dinner reception in gazebo). Any ideas, experiences with this??
About my calculations... I was looking at the gazebo and there are 6 posts, not 4 like I thought. So I would add more to that 50 yards.

If we have the tulle going up one pole - across the center pole - and down on the other side (with a bit of draping), do you think 40 yds of fuschia and 40 yds of orange are going to be enough? We're not doing the sides - just the front and the back.

Oh my what a crappy decorating job! I can't believe they don't put tulle or anything on the gazebo...I'm like looking to do as little as possible but this looks so blah! Thanks for posting up those pics...where did you get them? I emailed Jacy on 2/10 and sent a followup email yesterday and still haven't heard back.

You're right, i'm not too happy either. The chairs aren't even decorated and I counted less than twenty chairs, so I would've thought they could've at least put chair covers on them. I wonder if they just had the free wedding package and that's what they get. I don't know about that banquet room either! I'm am more confused than ever!!!

yeah, I would hate for it to look skimpy... tulle looks so much prettier when it's flowing and blousy... How high do you think the poles are? 10 feet? and maybe 10 feet across? I told my niece I would be in charge of making sure the decorations are set up and for her not to worry about anything on her wedding day, but if you don't have enough material to work with, not much you can do.
We are ordering it on line. We got such a great deal, maybe we should just order a couple extra bolts to be sure. The wedding is June 12th, and the colors are Fuschia & Orange and we'll happily be leaving everything behind if any other F&O brides are coming along. We've ordered 40 chair bows in fuschia and 5 table overlays in a mix of fuschia & orange.
Recycle...
My niece is having these really cool centerpieces made with lots of palm leaves and fuschia gerbera daisies with bird of paradise.

Thats the banquet room at the resort. I've seen photos of wedding with other chairs, so maybe there are options? I emailed Jacy a couple days ago asking about these photos that Mr. Guzman told me he would take and she responded in like 3 days maybe? This was a MAJOR surprise given that she never responded to my previous emails if any one remembers...

I've been in touch with Mr. Guzman and he said they took the photos but because the person who took them had people's faces in them (huh.gif) they couldn't post them. He said there's another wedding this weekend (I wonder if that's Lyales) and he's going to take the pictures himself...

And they couldn't just block out the faces on these pictures that they had? The funny thing is that any guest at the hotel can take a picture of any wedding and just pass it along, you know? Do you ladies mind sharing Mr. Guzman's email address? I sent Jacy a followup email and cc'd the concierge but still no response. Thank you :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
