She asked how much I had paid for them and I told them and said it was for my wedding. Then I mentioned that I had the receipt (I had read on in another thread to save your receipts!) and started reaching for my folder with receipts. But the lady stopped me and told me it wasn't necessary and let us go.

I echo this!! We had no problems whatsoever w/ customs either! We actually noticed a handful of other brides (they had their dresses with) too...no one seemed to have any issues!! :)

Hehe Ginalyn - is it a bad thing to say that I've hardly been doing ANY planning lately?!

We've got about another month until my RSVP deadline so once that's up then I'll be able to make a few decisions that are a little more 'number-specific' like which menu we'd like to with and what extras we may be able to add or remove etc.

Plus work has been crazy busy and leading in to Christmas it's been crazy around the house too! Let me tell you, I'll be glad once my home office is cleared out of Christmas gifts and FI will be happy when it's cleared out of all the wedding stuff! Most of the mess is all the bits and pieces I've been collecting for our OOT bags which I'm hoping that I'm nearly done. Just have to get my mugs I think?!

So all the project/DIY work aside, I haven't bene doing much of anything and haven't emailed Jacy or Sandra in quite a number of weeks. I think I got over my early-planning-panic and have been enjoying the feeling of still having lots and lots of time left! Probably a dangerous thing though... !

Ginalyn - I don't know what the temperatures are there but for a couple weeks up until today it didn't get warmer than -17 degrees fahrenheit (-27deg C for us CDN's!). And it was colder farther north - actually a couple hours from here was the second coldest place ON EARTH second only to Siberia I think!!!! Thank goodness it warmed up or I'd be finding a away to fit myself into Dee's suitcase!!!!

Yesterday , it was - 32 in Quebec. I will be happy to go the other way +30 in 3 weeks now! yay! Ive been busy too, I am a teacher and christmas time is so so busy, + we moved last week end! It will be a well deserved 2 weeks rest for both of us + the family thats been helping a lot.

I got a xcel file yesterday from Jacy for me to fill in any details for the wedding. I guess that a good sign. We also decided we will try to upgrade to a master suite so we can accomodate the family after the reception and ... well... its our wedding too! I hope they dont charge us too much...well see!

Wow Mylene - 28 days!!! You must be SO excited now! And with so much going on it must just seem like the time is flying by too!

And your cold weather is probably the same system that took about two weeks to pass us by but I'm sure it will just make Mexico all that much better!

What kind of details did the excel sheet have on it for you to fill in??

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
