Tulle Garland - to determine the amount of material needed for the garland; measure the item that you are going to decorate (in this case - the gazebo) Allow extra for draping. Multiply this measurement x 1.5 to determine length of tulle. Example: if the arch frame is 16', take that times 1.5 for a total of 24' or 8 yards.

The side poles on the gazebo are 3 meters (per Jacy) (which is 9.5'). if you multiply each one times 1.5 - the result is 14.25' (which is 4.75 or approx 5 yds) per pole. If you multiply that by the number of poles (6 side + 2 cross poles front & back); the total is approx. 40 yds. This allows for draping.

Great photos! My favorite part of the decorations was the tulle twisted in the back of the gazebo. I love how it framed the bride and groom. Also, I noticed a bell in the top of the gazebo. I was at a wedding were the bride and groom and all the guest rang the bell at the end of the ceremony. It was a great way to celebrate. I wonder if we can ring the bell? At least once...

Carribean trio question: I want steel drums playing Bob Marley songs as I walk down the island. Does Carribean trio mean steel drums? Any ideas?

Thanks Bianca and Rory S. for getting those pictures for us! It really put my mind at ease after seeing the earlier pictures! I liked the tulle wrapped around the posts and the interesting aisle - like a red carpet? Pretty neat.

Also, it looks like maybe some one was ringing the bell during the ceramony. I saw a really long cord running from the top of the gazebo to the bottom and in some of the pictures it looks like someone was maybe pulling it. Maybe I am just making that up though!

My niece is having these really cool centerpieces made with lots of palm leaves and fuschia gerbera daisies with bird of paradise.

RoryS, I noticed you mentioned a certain centerpiece. Have you seen pictures the centerpieces that the resorts offer? Thanks

Thank you guys for getting pics up. I think that I'm going to try to look for some chair sashes and bring some extra tulle if i can fit it in my luggage. I'm not sure what else exactly I'm going to do but I think I'm up next (4/9) and I'll make sure to post my pictures up as well. This certainly looks alot better than what I've previously seen!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
