Jingles - I think it might be #26 on the map..."El Faro". I'm thinking that because the Steakhouse is #27 "El Puerto" (I had my reception dinner there). I know where all of the other restaurants on the map are (I went to almost all of them) so that's the only one that fits.

Hey everyone! I am just starting all of this planning stuff out... and I have to be honest, it's a little overwhelming. My fiance and I are planning a June 2010 wedding at either Iberostar Paraiso Del Mar or Iberostar Paraiso Beach. We have finally narrowed the search to one of the two, but have no idea where to go from here.

Is it best to go through a travel agent, or book everything on our own? Also, could anyone recommend a good travel agent to work with?

Any help would absolutely be appreciated!

Jingles - No problem! :)

Jennibak - Welcome and good luck with your planning! The Iberostar Paraiso Del Mar and Paraiso Beach share a property and people staying at either resort are free to roam around and use the amenities of both resorts. I got married at the Paraiso Beach side, so if you have any questions, please feel free to ask and I'll do my best to help you out! cheesy.gif

I'm trying to stay calm....(I have already ordered a good portion of my OOT bag stuff...I'm trying to pace myself so I don't have to drop major cash all at once.

I wanted to pass a website on to you girls cause it was the cheapest place I could find luggage tag sleeves and the rubbery strap thingy. I am making my own luggage tags. (printing them on business cards and slipping them into the sleeves)

ClearBags - Promote, Protect and Preserve

I hope this helps others. I am going to be sticking 2 luggage tags in each envelope with the invitation. I filled out the resort address and left a place for them to write their names. How is everyone else doing?
We did the luggage tags for our engagement party favors...they were definitely a hit...so that's good news.

My sister knew our favors so she bought us two luggage tags, one pink and one black. "Mr. Right and Mrs. Always Right"
It was perfect!!!

Planning is going well...we are probably booking Claudia Rodriguez next week, we are just waiting on the contract.

Welcome new brides!!!!

So....I finished my STD a few weeks ago....I think I have all the kinks knocked out. I wanted to post the template here for any of you ladies who need a template. I found it on the STD Boarding pass thread. I added vintage mexican travel poster pictures, a vintage mexican map that I tinted blue to match my colors (my colors are the blue, pink and green that you see I used through out) I will post the cover also incase anyone needs that too. I hope when you ladies view it, everything looks ok. I'll be sure to post pictures when I actually cut them out and make them...LOL

Okay, so we are quite to avid Beer Pong Players and we have many in our group coming down for the wedding.

I was wondering, since they now make inflatable beer pong...if anyone bought this down to the resort and if there were any problems.

Perhaps we could do it in the actitivities pool and not near the swim up bar area...or just somewhere...but I was just curious if they allow it and if anyone has done it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
