Laser hair removal?

LEIGH

Recommended Posts

Hello all, Carly here. I am merging all the "laser hair removal" threads into one, feel free to add your story, opinion, whatever to this thread. I am merging them in the order that they were originally posted.

Anyone ever try this? I have heard that it works just "sometimes". I am very willing to do this becuase we spend so many days out on the lake during the summer, and also for our wedding/honeymoon in October. I really don't want to spend all of the money if it "might" work. What do you think?! If you can share any experiences, it would help make up my mind!

Thanks!

I'm in the process of getting it done right now. After one session I've noticed some difference - just a little. I have 4 more sessions to go though and I'll keep you posted.

Btw - I'm basically a hairy sasquatch woman so any decrease in hair was worth it to me.

How long does it take normally? I'm scared with me that it will take a whole year before it all disapears! LOL!

Electrolosis is more permanent. Laser is "hair reduction" not removal. With laser you do appointments every 6ish weeks - it takes 15 minutes for full bikini. It works best if you have light skin and dark hair. I had my first appt in Jan but have been so busy since then I haven't been able to make it. I think my next appt is the end of March.

Yeah, brazillians are pretty intense! I have been doing them for about a year now, and I'm sick of the torture! It's time for me to try another route!

I've 6 months with laser.. or maybe more in certain areas.. I'm doing bikini, face, armpits, legs, hands and.. that's all I think..

The best thing for me was the bikini line.. The hair barely grows... and when it grows it's very very thin.. I have unlimitted sessions so if it grows back I can go again and they'll remove it.. I go every month and it takes about 45 minutes for all the areas..

Anny and Kate I have a question. I want to do laser but I want to know what you do in between sessions. What I mean to say is if I do a session today and the next session is not for another month or two do you just leave the hair like that? Or do you wax or shave in the meantime? I want to do this but I can't imagine getting it on my face and then having to let the hair on my face grow for months before the next session. Wow I sound like a werewolf don't I? But you know what I mean. LOL.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
