Wedding Date Help

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

My FI and I are getting married the week of thanksgiving in 2009 at ROR. I'm trying to reserve our wedding date but I have a problem. We will be arriving at the hotel on either friday or saturday and want to have our wedding on monday because it will give us a longer honeymoon, seeing how we are only there for a week. On the website it says you have to arrive two BUISNESS days before the wedding date and we won't be. Has anyone ever done this before? I emailed Chandlyn but have not received an answer back yet and I would like to reserve the date ASAP so I can begin my STDs.

Please help!

Melanie

There has recently been another thread about this......you might want to check that out

But, I was in the same dilemma. We are arriving Saturday and wanted to get married Tuesday....I tried writing Chandlyn, but all I got was a response saying that she will discuss my wedding plans 2 months ahead of time- nothing about my date question.. I told my travel agent about it and she handled it no problem...I dont think you will have a problem with it at all...but, to be on the safe side I would just get your travel agent to deal with it asap and u can start making those std probably by next week

Thanks. Right after I posted this thread, the Riu wedding sales department emailed me right back. This is what they said:

Dear Melanie,

Thank you very much for contacting Riu Sales Wedding Department.

We required the couple to arrive 2 business days prior the ceremony, please notice that Sundays and arrival date do not count as business day, if you are getting married on November 23rd 2009, the latest day you can arrive will be November 19th 2009.

If you shall require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Warm Regards,

Melanie- We are planning on being there at the same time as you. We are going down on Weds, Nov 18 and having the wedding on Saturday the 21st. Let me know if you are interested in sharing a photographer, I would love to split travel expenses for a great photog from off the island!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
