I'm so excited that we're having our wedding there! This will be the nicest place I've ever stayed & I'm still having a hard time believing this is where I'm really going to be married. :)

We're having 25 guests (max) at our wedding, so I'm hoping it won't be TOO expensive. I keep telling myself that I'll only get married once, so it will all be worth it. :) Our first choice was One & Only, but they require $25k food & beverage minimum for weekend weddings... totally not doable, especially for the number of guests we expect.

So far, the Romance Director @ Las Ventanas has been wonderful to work with. She's been very responsive to all of my questions and it's great that she's taking care of booking everything. She recommended 2 photographers that I need to research this weekend. I'm sure I'll be posting in the Cabo vendors forum later for advice on that! But I'm trusting her florist & minister recommendations. We're also having our rehearsal/welcome dinner there, which gives me one less thing to worry about.

All in all, I feel like the resort is so beautiful that I don't need to stress out about small details. Hopefully I can stay that way! I'm already driving myself nuts just trying to figure out what our welcome/OOT bags will look like.

Elizabeth somehow I missed your post. But I wanted to say WELCOME!!!! And I am so jealous I love Las Ventanas. That is where I always wanted to get married but I was scared of the cost. Do you mind my asking what pricing is like for that locale? I'm sure your wedding is going to be absolutely beautiful. Are your guests staying there as well or are you all staying at another resort?

Hi Glenda! I don't mind you asking about pricing. I'm happy to give someone else information since I've already learned so much from other ppl in the forum. :)

I'm attaching their wedding guidelines (with minimum room nights & food & beverage requirements depending upon how many guests you have) & the catering menus. That should give you a pretty good idea about pricing.

We're only expecting 25 guests & we initially were worried that we wouldn't be able to spend the required amount food & drinks so we decided to have the welcome dinner there as well. It turns out we didn't have to worry about that AT ALL!! It will be a great way for all of our guests to check out the beach @ Las Ventanas, though.

Most of our guests are staying at other resorts (all in town), which is what we wanted. The only guests staying at Las Ventanas with us are close friends & Leigh (who's going to be our photographer). We know that they'll respect our privacy. :)

Welcome Elizabeth, you hired our Leigh Miller? (I say "our" because we love her here) If so you will be thrilled with her work, she is an amazing photographer and an even nicer person.

Please let us know if you have any questions, happy planning..

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
