I want to learn how to sew so that I can...

Recommended Posts

I've made these before and they are soooooo easy! But you do need a sewing machine. You get a bath towel and hand towel of the same print. Fold the hand towel in half and sew one end together to make the hood. Then attach the long end of the hand towel to the long end of the towel. I'm sure there's a better way to explain it, but hopefully you get the jist.

sewing is harder then it seems #1 rule you sew things right sides together first and then flip them through a small opening and hand sew that area shut. It makes your corners look neat and you can not see all the extra threads. But you know what is easier and takes less time then sewing...finding a great deal for them online :)

You say that, but try living with it... I see something and my mind wanders off with the mechanics of it... I will seriously wake up in the middle of the night thinking about stuff like this and be totally unable to sleep until I can get to the bottom of it.

It's sort of pathetic, really.smile35.gif

I'm going to have my FI buy me not just a sewing machine... but an embroidery sewing machine... there is so much automated stuff it can do... CRAZY!

I have a year and a half until my wedding and in that time I need to learn to sew because I am going to make my own cloth napkins (and embroider our monogram on them), my own table runners, and my own chair sashes. I want a tri-color looking thing... so buying them gets expensive quick.

I'm also going to make those towel things and whatever else I can come up with. Maybe placemats -- cause I orignally wanted pink charger plates but couldnt find any...

See I get that way too... except with things like spreadsheet formulas. I'm a geek. I'll stay up all night creating a cool spreadsheet.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
