I did a test run of Vista print but I didn't like the quality of magnet (they can fold in mail, flimsy, etc). We decided to go with Save The Date Magnets, Wedding Invitations, Wedding Announcements, Postcards for Weddings, Magnetic Favors and we are having the designers make up a pink sunset/sunrise design for us ($75). They have a few beachy themes too (that you don't have to pay extra for). I have ordered samples from them and they are thicker and better quality (magnet and print) than vistaprint.

Well, shoot. I have spent a few hours designing our magnet, and they are having a 50% off sale at VistaPrint so we are just going to go ahead and go with them. 100 magnets for $49.99! (+ $4.99 pic upload cost and $1.99 PDF proof).

So here it is! I know the white looks like it might be hard to read but when we printed off the PDF file it seemed ok... *crossing our fingers*

Thanks Lisa! I really like them too :)

I'm kinda bummed and kicking myself for not ordering them already. I just went over to my Dad's house to show him, and by the time I got back the site wide sale went down from 50% off to 25% off. booooo sad.gif

*Edit* Ahhh, phew! I managed to "trick" the website by going through a couple different links from other websites offering coupons. The first time it acted like it was going to give me the 50% discount, but when I put my CC info in it said the total would be 100 for $79.99 (instead of the original $49.99). Screw that! So I went to another site and its link and it worked! I got them for $49.99! So I splurged on the 3 day shipping which was kind of outrageous ($30+). Anyways, I finally got out of there for a total of $87.98. They even took 50% off of the $4.99 image upload cost. I'm happy :)

I'm guessing these don't come with envelopes since it didn't mention that anywhere... does anyone else know the answer to this? I'm sure I could easily find some inexpensive envelopes for 4x5" (app.) magnets... Does anyone know the shipping cost on these "large" magnets?

I completely forgot about envelopes too and because I was in a "rush" to get them out I just bought craft paper weight #10 envelopes. For me the magnet idea was done to be simple and cute so it worked.

If you feel that the magnet is "flimsy" which I didn't really.. you can put a piece of cardboard in the envelope with it. All my guests received them and everyone has commented on how cute and what a great idea it is- and also the size. They like that it's bigger than a business card and on their fridge. I was thinking it might be too big.

Glad you got the sale! good for you.

I ordered our magnets from savethedatemagnet.com They were exactly the size of business cards and to be honest I was impressed considering how inexpensive they were. The color/quality was good too. They came with the little holders too.

We used this one because of all of them it looked the most like PV:

Where did you get the envelopes? Did you order them offline or can you get them at like Target or something like that?

I ordered from savethedatemagnets.com as well and loved them. For under $150 I got 150 magnets, 150 magnet card holders (so it wasnt just a magnet floating around in the envelope), and 200 envelopes. They were bigger than a business card and were not flimsy at all!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
