How to Stay Married

Recommended Posts

If you are selfish, get over it.

If you are impatient, develop patience.

If you don't have a sense of humor, get one.

If you are easily irritated, calm down.

If you are filled with anxiety, relax.

If you are too serious, lighten up.

If you are too frivolous, find balance.

If you are demanding, soften your approach.

If you are jealous, develop trust.

If you are are holding a grudge, let it go.

If you are judgmental, find acceptance.

If you are controlling, learn equality.

If you are untrustworthy, develop honesty.

If you are lazy, learn to work.

If you are submissive, learn to assert yourself.

If you are rigid, develop flexibility.

If you are unkind, become loving.

If you harbor resentment, learn to forgive.

If you are arrogant, find humility.

If you are argumentative, learn to listen.

If you are immature, grow up.

In sum, heal yourself, develop your character, and become the best person you can possibly be!

Will this insure you have a healthy marriage forever and ever? No. But, bringing your very best self to the relationship gives you the best possible chance!

And, if both partners do the best they can, well, chances are pretty great there will be a healthy, fulfilling, loving relationship for a long time to come!

I like that so much. I love the threads you start with cool self reflection ideas.

That is cute! Although I think people should apply that to life in general, not just marriage.

    • What color is your wedding? You can go with warm autumn-inspired colors such as burnt oranges, dark reds, burgundy, bright yellows, like fall foliage   https://printsbery.com/invitations/wedding/burgundy   What planning have you guys done?
    • We booked our wedding for April 2021 but the venue let us know at this time they are still implementing Covid measures so we should not have more than 50 guests, etc. We also made sure the contract had an "out" clause that would let us get a refund should the pandemic blow up again, or have the ability to reschedule without penalty.
    • I am having my wedding scheduled in November 2020. I am too much worried about how all the things will be managed in this pandemic situation. About everything like the guest list, preparations, my attire and all. The only thing I am relaxed is about finances. In Feb only me and my fiancé applied for the wedding loans. We have applied early because both of us are having bad credit we had a doubt that it will be approved or not. But our wedding loans with bad credit were timely approved and we have planned accordingly but now this pandemic has spoiled all our preparations. We are trying to be positive and trying to celebrate our new beginnings.
