Hey everyone!

 

I just confirmed my date for February 29, 2012! I'm super excited.

 

Just a quick question for all you Sensatori brides out there. If you're getting married on the beach, does that include a gazebo? Or do you have to pay extra for it.

 

PS - Love the photos in this thread! It all looks amazing!

Welcome!

The weddings at the Sensatori include your choice of location, and many do have a gazebo. However these gazebos do not include decorations (sheers, flowers,etc)- that's extra!

Any brides getting married the weekend of August 5th?  I have yet to book my photographer and thought if there were other brides getting married that same weekend maybe we can work out a deal with one photogrpaher.  PM if you're interested.

I went to PDC in April and did a bunch of site visits with my fiance from Puerto Morelos all the way down to Tulum.  If money was no object we would have loved Hotel Esencia but the prices are INSANE but the beach was stunning.  We liked Ceiba Del Mar but the food was terrible and the sea grass in the water and on the beach was bothersome, plus walking the beach beside the hotel proved very fruitful as there as garbage all around and looked like it had been there for a while which brought us to Azul Beach which has such a gorgeous beach (although small), the food was awesome and they just had their act together - plus the price for our guests was right...we wanted to take on the big expense and try to limit costs for our guests since they are coming from around the world and vary in incomes.

 

So far 39 rooms (68 adults and 18 kids) have put a deposit down which they can cancel for a small fee until end of August - WAY more than we were expecting but some may cancel.

 

We plan on having a beach ceremony with the reception at the Blue Terrace but now they are suggesting one of the new ballrooms.

 

Q's for you (sorry but so few AB Brides vs AS on the site so I feel like I hit the jackpot wink.gif:

- Was the construction bothersome and when do you think it will be over and done with?

- Did most of your guests stay in teh Deluxe suites on the old side and were the rooms OK?

- How many guests did you have, where did you have it and would you do the same all over?

- Did you do a close to sunset wedding and was it really windy (to veil or not to veil wink.gif?

- Who was your DJ and were they good (they no longer allow Mania or Doremixx)?

- Who was your photographer and were they good?  I also heard that Paul from Playa Weddings was a great videographer, maybe cheaper than Cancun Video...

- What did you do for the meal at the reception and was it good?

- Anything you would warn us to avoid or push to ensure we include/do?

MandM- I haven't even heard of new ballrooms. Our wedding isn't until next April so I haven't really bothered my WC we got most of our stuff decided. Waiting for RSVP I gave everyone 3 months to decide so 9/1 is the cut off. I guessed for 50 so we'll see how it goes.
:) You have so many rooms! I blocked 20 but I think we're going to need to add some more. Considering half the rooms are already booked. I'll PM you so we can discuss more.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
