Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I've been engaged for 6 weeks and can't seem to make any forward progress because I am having trouble finding a resort that I like, in my price range, and has dates available.

I'm considering the Azul Sensatori because they are the only property in my guest's budget that has availability. I haven't spoken with anyone there yet, but from reading the posts I'm not sure if it is the right spot for me.

I'm looking to have about 80 people, but I want to have a private reception, rehersal, and brunch. Do they have areas for all of that?

Having good music is the most important thing to me, and it sounds like the DJ isn't that great. Therefore, I there is a chance that I will want to bring one (and probably a photographer too). Will they give me a hard time about that.

I also want to have something that feels customized, but it sounds like they aren't very flexible at all.

Lastly, did you get the sense that they nickeled and dimed you for everything. It seems like there are so many extra charges that it could get a bit annoying.

If anyone has any words of encouragement or experience with any of my concerns, please let me know.

Thanks!

Lisa

Just wondering what all of you are doing for your photos! Is it included with your wedding package or being done seperatly? Starting to panic now! :-)
When we first booked our wedding at the Azul we thought that the photographers that they had on staff would be ok so we booked the gold package (now we have changed to the Silver package and just going to pay for the blood test) to get the photographer in the package but after looking at MANY different photographers we are taking a photographer near us here at home and paying for her weeks trip.

The photo's were one of the most important things to me since you will have them for a lifetime.

We're hoping to get married November 2009 but the more I read on this forum, the more I think we might be rushing it. We'd love to get married in Mexico and I think we'd have about 100 guests. Also, in a perfect world, we would have a kosher wedding but I think that we would settle for a vegetarian wedding.

Every time I find a resort that I think sounds perfect, I find some horrible reviews that scare me away. I just want to book the location already - thinking that all the fun stuff starts once we do that.

Has anyone had a jewish wedding at Azul Sensatori? Has anyone had any issues with them being a "new" hotel? Does anyone have a direct contact to get to Fabio as all my emails and wedding requests have gone unanswered.

I'm sure that's just the beginning of my questions but any thoughts are much appreciated!!

Thanks!

Hi OMT,

I am having a Jewish wedding at the Azul Sensatori. We are flying in an amazing Rabbi. In addition, we have the Chabad house in Cancun delivering us kosher wine and a Challah the day of. Unfortunately, we are not doing the whole "kosher" thing - just no pork per my future mother in laws request. However, I think you won't find a problem doing a "kosher-style" all dairy (specific fish and cheese, etc) or all meat (no dairy anything) wedding. Vegetarian may get boring although the pastas sound amazing. We have been very specific about our Chuppah, which Fabio calls a "Chew-pah" - LOL, so cute.

I think it will work out nicely.

Hi,

I am a new member of the forum even though I have been reading it for quite a while now. My wedding is April 16th, 2009, which is about a month away now. I have been dealing with Jo'Zeen who is pretty much as useless as they come. I have been e-mailing and trying to get my wedding organized and planned since October with no luck. I have no details confirme or sorted out AT ALL. There will be 21 people at the wedding including myself and my fiance.

If anyone has any contact information for someone at the actual resort Jo'Zeen is in Florida, which I just found out) who can help me, could you please let me know. I am getting very stressed that nothing is done even though I have been trying to get things done since the fall!

I am from Calgary, so if there is anyone on here from Calgary who has had their wedding there already and wouldn't mind meeting up with me to provide me with some insight, that would be great.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
